Sting ray city port adventure timing question

Quick question for those who have visited Grand Cayman with Disney before. We just signed up for the Stingray City sandbar port adventure but it is at 11:45am.

On our previous Disney cruise we met up with the group on the ship prior to our excursion that morning but with this being later in the morning it wouldn't make sense to us to have to tender back to the ship to meet to only have to get off again.

Does anyone know how this works at Grand Cayman? Would we meet the guide on shore rather than on the boat?

For Grand Cayman, the morning shore excursions meet on the ship and tender over together. The later ones meet at the tender dock (on shore). Not exactly sure what the cut off time is. A few years ago, our excursion was around 12:30 and we met on the dock. Your excursion tickets will tell you the meeting place for sure. If the meeting place happens to be on the ship and your plan is to be onshore already, I think you could talk to the shore excursion manager in advance and they'll note that you will meet them shoreside.
