Good morning Sassies! Brian won a $100 gift card from Expotv so we got new lights for the outside of the house, can you say bye bye ugly old dingy brass lights and hello new beautiful silvery colored lights? I love them and he has already installed them in this lovely weather. I guess he can stay around for a bit.

Squiddy, love the mini trip report! I especially enjoyed your headgear on Kate. Oh and the tapir (I think thats what that animal is called) needs an attitude adjustment, please tell me you slapped his tongue back in his mouth with one of your tentacles.

Judi, sorry you are getting the snow that was promised to us. We'll get ours later today though. Blech!

Your new light fixture thingys sound nice. It's amazing when we reach a point where items like that can thrill. I'm there (for a while now) and my younger roommate does not understand that kind of stuff at all. I've been looking at condos to buy and when I drag her with me she is so BORED cuz I actually try to pay attention to things like outside light fixtures among the 30720470 other things.

PS you both can keep the snow for yourselves

I won't even tell you how many houses we looked at both times we were looking for homes. This last time was the worst because our house was sold, I was 8 month pregnant and nothing seemed like what I wanted. We ended up finding this house and moved in one Saturday and I had Justin the next Saturday. But I am extremely happy with this house and can't see us moving anytime soon. Point is be picky and wait for what you want, especially now with so many choices!

Yes. It's time to "grow up" and become a home owner, I just wish it were in Florida and not Ohio. My lease is up in June... time is ticking. I have only been looking for oh about six months now

Kimmy~I worked from home for 6 years and LOVED IT!! But I did feel like I could never get away from work. And I missed the social aspect of working in an office. But I'd go back to it in a heartbeat if I could.

Judi~how's your Mom doing? Hope you made it home safely.

By the way, the toe socks were TOTALLY cute with Shannon's flip flops. You really couldn't even tell they were toe socks if you just glanced at them. She walked around for half the day with bare tootsies and it was FREEZING-I would've worn gloves on my feet by that point!

Happy Thursday Sassies! Well, so far this morning the snow has won. We didn't get much today, but its garbage/recycling day so I trudged out in my slippers, no socks of course and no coat next thing I know my feet are at eye level again! I just sat there laughing again and couldn't get up. Thank goodness it was still dark.

Oh Becca thanks for the laugh so early in the morning. I hope you're not hurt. You might get a nasty bruise on your hiney. I once fell coming home from the bus stop. It was a couple of years ago on a cold morning. I was jogging home and when I came to my driveway I stepped on a rock and it threw me. I fell on my hands and knees. Cut up my hands and had two bloody knees. Even though it really hurt my first reaction was to make sure no one saw me.

I don't usually get hurt when I fall, I have learned after many times to just fall and not try to stop myself. The most embarassed I have been recently by falling was at Epcot when we were there in September, I fell on the steps while leaving Club Cool. I got up as fast as I could and ran out while trying not to laugh at myself, Brian on the other hand had no restraint he was practically rolling on the floor.
