Still no Speakers for Candlelight for my dates

So what do I do? I had originally planned for December 6th as my night for the CP, but I have no clue who is going to be speaking. I was willing to shift my evenings to get a good speaker, but now I have no idea who is going to be speaking that night or for several of the night before and after. The only ones set for my dates are Rita Moreno on my first night and I just don't see that happening with an early morning arrival, and Stephen Chapman. Never seen him before, just not someone I was hoping to get to see. I know there are others out there with the same dilemma. What are you going to do?

Have you considered waiting a few more days until they DO announce a speaker? Or am I missing something?

Patience is a virtue. One I do not possess and I have this fear my evening will sell out. I know this probably won't happen right a way, but I was planning for going to Le Cellier and I know how that sells out. I guess I'm just a little peeved they didn't sign anyone for MY dates. It is a personal affront you know ;)

Keep in mind that when they announce the speakers they are not set in stone, they can change up to the actual date and usually some do after the original announcement.

It used to be they did not announce the speakers until October, way after they started selling the packages. Just take your chances and try to change it later if you want a switch.

December 6th is a Wednesday, it will probably not sellout. I've been there around that time and they were still selling packages the day of the performance. Since the seating times are in the afternoon, I think it will be easier to get a package. Not too many local people are going to come to eat in the middle of the afternoon during the week.

The CP is a beautiful program. We chose a date last year that was supposed to be Jim Cavezil (SP?). I was excited to see him because everyone said he was really good, but they moved his days to the days right around Christmas. We ended up with a Christian singer named Jackie Valazques (SP?) whom I'd never heard of. It didn't matter, she did a fine job, but the real excitement came with the program itself. The music is beautiful and the story is moving. My advice is simply to buy your tickets for the day you want to go and enjoy the show regardless of the speaker.

It matters not to me who is the speaker. I am going solely to experience the event (i.e., the story of Christ) with my family. I, too, fall in the TBD dates, but I'm still going to book.
