Still no Merry Mixer news?

A lot of events are being scaled back. We missed the Flower & Garden Festival, it was cut short, and Food & Wine because it started a week later, than normal. It's really tough to plan, 11 months out with all the changes.

The Flower and garden was not really cut short....It was made longer by starting almost a month earlier than normal. It was, however, definitely scaled back on what it entailed.

Just spoke with MS and they confirmed the same dates for the Merry Mixer that were mentioned. Dec 10, 16, 23, and 30 at the Fantasia Boardroom at the Contemporary Resort. He told me it would be held from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM.

I don't get it! Why the 30th (after Christmas) and not the 3rd - (during one of the most popular weeks for DVC members)??!! Well, if that's the case, then we will miss it this year, too - heading home on the 6th.

Sorry for those that are missing the event this year.

Somehow, we managed to be there for 3 of the 4 mixers this year.

Will just attend once, most likely the 30th.

No way, we will be able to attend Our flight departs at 5:30 on the 23rd and arrives the morning of the 17th. Our flight, originally was to leave at 7:30, but that flight was cancelled.
I want my ornament and pins!

But, it ended a week earlier, than usual. We book 11 months out, so we count on previous festival dates. F&W started a week later, again we missed out.

We are going to miss it too. We were looking forward to going. DD has a blast last year dancing with the characters.

Well, we leave in 2 weeks. . . and still no official info on the Merry Mixer! What the heck are they still deciding on at this point??
I would (sadly) just like to know for sure whether the first week of Dec. DVCers will have a party to attend or not.

We were hoping there was going to be a party the first week of December. It sounds like they are moving the event to accommodate the ever-growing attendance.

I realize the Merry Mixer is not something we are guaranteed every year, but we looked forward to the party, special pins, and ornament. It's a disappointment.

Since the mixer is put on by the DVD Marketing department, I'm guessing that they moved it to be next to BLT.
