Still no 2016 discounts!?!?

Is there a specific website that will send an email when the discounts come out or do you guys keep checking the WDW website daily?

For me the DIS boards is the site I use. I subscribe to all the threads related to Jan/Feb/Mar etc. discounts. If I don't see it first on WDW I'm sure somebody will post something here.

MouseSavers sends out an email with discounts once a month. Usually if something happens they will send out another email as well.

Your best bet is to keep checking Disney travel planning websites.

That's weird - I don't think it's discounted pricing but it's the rack rate of specific resorts for Sunday-Thursday:

$147 - Art of Animation Standard room
$202 - Port Orleans Riverside standard room
$351 - Wilderness Lodge standard room

Sorry to be a bummer but not a deal at all.

I certainly didn't think it was a deal but I didn't understand why it got sent. I assumed I would hear about winter-April before May.

It's not, that is the rate we have for AKL. We booked early and will change rooms if necessary to get a discount.

I don't often look for room discounts...but I find it fascinating to watch for the trends and how the pricing manifests itself.

I can't fathom why they send out "lock in your prices" at near full price for May - not a traditionally busy time?

On a side note...has anyone noticed the airline deals/specials that have been flooding my email for months and extend months out?
Certainly not "cheap" like they used to be - but much more available/reasonable lb for lb than a couple years back...

I don't get it...on some fronts they look pretty crowded down there...on others it seems like things are dangerously slow (from the greedy profit perspective)

Fascinating...

As a side note - a standard at wilderness started at $119 in 2001...$149 in 2004...

Happy hunting

**************.net and Orlando by Joe reporting that discounts are coming MONDAY! Stay Play Dine & Room Only

Does anyone know what time they usually announce these discounts? Is it at midnight or early morning?

I know it has varied but typically they are released sometime overnight to book online (as early as midnight). I think the phone lines open at 7am to call.

Dean Marino, this thread is about the upcoming discounts. You're a DVC Member. I came to this thread for the same reason the OP wrote it: To see if anyone here knew anything about upcoming discounts for early 2016. Not to hear about how owning DVC is going to change my life and save me a lot of money after 20 or 30 years.

Congratulations on being so smart and having so much money that you could buy DVC. Enjoy it! Now would you please let us go back to discussing when the discounts for Jan-Mar might come out?

Thanks!

TRUE "stunning discounts" - as in, what exactly is being offered - REALLY

I don't get the negativity towards the discounts. With the SPD deal my family of 4 (me, wife, daughter 5, daughter 2) is going to spend 6 Nights and 7 days at Disney World, staying at a moderate resort, with all our meals included, and hopefully spend less than $2,400. Combine that with free flights using our southwest points and that is one heck of a bargain.

If you want to hate on the vagabonds that choose not to use DVC do it on that board please, although I'm guessing those kind of opinions aren't received well there either.

ETA: For everybody here looking for deals - good luck! Hopefully Monday is our day and I hope EVERYBODY gets the room and price they're looking for!
