Still looking for a room for TOT?!

Yes the Dining Card is only available to those who booked with an AP rate, but....... Disney just released some package discounts to the general public. For less than $40 more per person (total, not each night) I just booked our vacation and got dining!! I had to change resorts, yet again, but got ASSports for 3 nights with dining for 732.56. We did have to pay for the one day base ticket, but we need to renew our Season Passes while we are down there anyway and will just apply the one day tickets to what we are gonna have to pay for our passes.

I was finally able to get through after numerous tries or being told the computer is done. Changed my AAA rate from POFQ to the AP rate for CSR (only moderate left) and that includes the $50 dining card. I really didn't save anything with the room rate as I had to get a waterview , but getting the dining card was worth it. What is with the computers being down so frequently when new rates come out. :confused3 I actually had a nice CM who understood what I wanted.

Bummer post....The CM never called me back..no surprise there. When I tried to call, I couldn't get through that night or the next day. Called yesterday and was told the system wouldn't be up until today. Called today and was told I DO NOT have the dining gift card. No AP or FL resident rates apply either. :sad1:

Yeah, and the CM I was oh so lucky to get was sooooo pleasant.
At first she wouldn't even check since I "already had a discount." (the group rate)
She finally checked and then kind of sarastically said that it was $79 a night, the same as I already had.
I didn't dare ask her to check the Disney Visa code.

I was waiting for the AP codes, too, disappointed they were the same $79 rate. :sad1:

But are you all aware of the Dining Gift Card that is associated with these AP rates? It is supposedly a code built into the AP code. If they did not tell you about it, call back and make sure you are coded to receive this dining card. It is only $20 for value resorts (one card per reservation), but every bit helps. It goes up to $50 or $75 for moderate and I think $100 for deluxe resorts.

So, while we "only" got the $79 rate, it is effectively $75 with the addition of the $20 gift card. Like I said, every little bit helps!! I figure if I can use the $20 to buy a re-fillable mug (again, I'm not sure what purchases are eligible), I'll be way ahead!!!
