Last Dec. we were able, upon check-out, to do an airport check-in of our luggage. We flew Delta. This time we will be flying USAir. Does anyone know if they are still doing this at BCV? :confused3 It made things sooo much easier. Hoping someone has the answer!

I hopeto see an answer because I am using USAir this trip also and am wondering because I was thinking it wasn't offered which made me wonder about the whole process.

Regardless of what airline you are flying.....DME is available for all inbound flights. Just put your ME tags on before you leave your home airport.

In the DME ticket pack I received, it says, 'At this time, the service (resort airline check-in) is only available for guests flying domestically on the airlines listed below: Alaska, American, Continental, Delta, JetBlue, Northwest, United(including Ted).'

Resort Check-in means: You can check your luggage and receive your boarding passes at the WDW Resort. I guess that means you'll need to do your own luggage and check-in when you get to the airport this time.

No, it wasn't ME. It was just a service being offered at BCV. (I'm sure BCV wasn't the only resort) I can't seem to find any info anywhere on it. :confused3

It was being offered in June...but the luggage service was only for the same airlines that participated in DME

We used it at BWV in January and it was great. It wasn't DME, it was just checking our luggage. We were flying Jetblue. I hope it's still there when we go back in Feb.

We were going to use it in January, but we didnt' get down to the front desk early enough, so they DID get our boarding passes printed, but we couldn't check bags because the person who did that was gone, and wouldn't be back early enough for us to leave for the airport in the morning. Hoping we can use it this time though.

The check-in service is called Remote Airline Check-in (RAC). Although it's promoted under the Disney's Magical Express (DME) umbrella, it's really a separate service. You can use DME transportation without using RAC. And you can use RAC without using DME transportation — as long as you're flying on a RAC-participating airline.

For more information about RAC, see "RESORT AIRLINE CHECK-IN SERVICE FOR DOMESTIC DEPARTURES" in the official Disney's Magical Express FAQ.

At this time, the RAC-participating airlines are Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Continental, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue, Northwest, and United/Ted.

US Airways is not on the list at this time. However, US Airways participates with the provider of RAC (BAGS Inc.), so there's a good chance US Airways could join Disney's RAC list in the future.

Actually, there is no such thing as a participating airline list for DME.

The participating airline list only applies to RAC.

:worship: Horace you are a wealth of information!! Wouldn't you know that USAir isn't participating!?!?!? :furious: Thanks again, Horace.
