I've read lots of the threads, but still am reading conflicting info. I have a 5yo and 2yo DDS. Can we order adult cs meal for them? Or, can I save the 5yo CS meals for our last day, pay for a child's meal for her and use the credits for DH and me on our last day ? We have 8 nights, a 7 day ticket and we plan to spend 2 days not in the parks which leaves us with the 9th day and no credits. Help Please!!

The meal credits are "banked" on your Room Key card, and you can use them in any way you want at any time you want. Yes, you are allowed to purchase adult CS meals for your 5 year old. You are restricted to ordering off the chilrens' menu at TS restaurants. But, your 5 year old still gets an appetizer and a dessert on the Dining plan, so if they aren't offered on the childrens' menu, she can order those from the adult menu.

You should be able to stretch your credits to the 9th day- you can pay out of pocket for a childrens' meal here and there to save up CS or TS credits. You could also share meals- the four of you could share 2 CS or TS meals, and keep the extra credit for another meal. Lots of folks plan to pay out of pocket for their kids' Table svc meals, and use the extra credits for Signature meals, or Dinner shows.

The Dining plan is a good deal for families w/kids- you really do get a lot of food. You should be able to have enough credits for the whole 9 days. :goodvibes

So its not just her CS credits that I can save? Can I pay out of pocket for 2 dinners and use those credits for DH and me on our last day as well?

Yes. Right now, Disney doesn't differentiate between "child" and "adult" credits. You could pay for your child's dinner and save up the TS credits for extra TS meals.

For example, the four of you could go to Tony's for dinner one night. You and DH each use one credit, and pay for the kids' meals out of pocket. The next day, you do the same at Rose and Crown. You now have 2 TS credits to use for another meal, or use for a Signature meal for you and DH while the kids are at one of the Kids' Clubs for the evening.

Don't know if that loophole might be closed, though. For now, it is possible to do this. In the future, it might be changed.

...I personally don't think we need to worry about this loophole being closed. The Silver Plan has always worked this way and they implemented the MYW Dining Plan the same way. If it was a problem, they would have fixed it long ago.

Thanks, Disneycrazzzy! That makes me feel great about the Plan. I didn't know the Silver Plan had the same loophole... now I can re-think our dining options for our upcoming trip. :cool1:

So you mean you could save the kids sit down credits & use them for the adults at a later time?

Abso-toot-ly! One of the best ways to get the most "bang for your buck" with the Dining plan.
