I'm still unclear on FP for days you have no park tickets but only party tickets. I am going to MVMCP with my son in Novemeber. I have AP so i can make FP for out party day but can he? He has a 4 day ticket and the party is on the night before we will officially use his ticket. Will I be able to make 5 days of FP on his 4 day ticket with the party ticket linked? Or do I need a dummy account?
Thanks fo any help. FP day is Friday so i'm trying to figure this out!

You can link his Party ticket and when your window opens, book for the regular park days and then for the Party day. Booking in this order allows for 5-days of FPs.

Watch your email in case of any Warnings about deleting a day of FPs.

If your son’s ticket is linked to a dummy account, you’d only have a 30-day window for that specific party date.

Just to be clear on this matter - we have 3 day tickets for a 5 day stay, plus party tickets. If we book 3 days of FP+'s first then the party day window (4p-6p) will this work? Thank you.

Yes.
Or it won't.
(I'm not kidding.)

It is still possible that one of your "park" FP days will be cancelled.
Check for a possible email with warning about deleted FPs.

It has proved to be inconsistent.
This is why it is not possible to be "clear" on this matter.

Last year when we were there for one night with ONLY a party ticket, I was able to book FP's for the party day. This time I have 6 day park tickets and a party ticket, and it would not let me book FPs for the party day after I booked 6 other days.

Just adding my experience so far:

I purchased a 9/23 party ticket last Monday and have no other admission media attached to my account. After purchasing I went to make FastPasses and 9/23 was the only day open to me. I made my three FPs with no problem and have not received an email.

Thanks all for the input. Not worth risking losing our last day of FP's if that happens. Will just enjoy the atmosphere and anytime attractions at MK.

You’ll only have the risk if Disney emails you.

Upon receipt of the email, Cancel all the FPs for the Party date.

I’m bumping to ask, will they definitely email before deleting a day? I was able to make FPs for our party day, when originally I couldn’t, after making them for my 6 park days. I absolutely don’t want to lose my last day of FPs.

So for me, it's just not worth the risk. We've done this before with absolutely no problem. Had 3 fp's for our party day with no regular ticket, but this was pre-2017 when the problems began. I'm not chancing it. Instead we added a day's ticket that we will come in on. That way we will have the fp's no matter. And it's only a few bucks per ticket once you are into a 4 or 5 or 6 day ticket anyway. I'd rather do this and not have to think about the possibility of losing them.

There are no FPs during the party, so you cannot use a party ticket to book FP.

I made all of mine for the other days and then went back and made mine the day of our party. We have 6 day hopper and Halloween ticket. The day of our party we are only doing the party. It let me make one at 3:30, 4:30, and 5:30. That was 4 days ago and i have not received an email or had anything deleted. I've been watching because my last day i actually have pp and 7dmt and would hate to lose those. After the last one i made there was a message that said congratulations you have made all of your fastpasses for your stay. I figured it wouldn't let me do it if i wasn't supposed to have it to begin with.

That reasoning (while logical) has not proven to be true...
Guests with only party tickets on their party date are able to book FPs
within the time between when party guests are allowed into MK (still during regular MK hours) before the party begins.
However, (and the reason for this thread's discussion) several guests have had Disney warn about (and actually perform) a cancellation of other day's FPs if a guest has booked FPs
using their party tickets.
This problem is exacerbated by the inconsistency of how the "rule" (or lack of "rule")
has been enforced... (or not.)

I have 3 FP's booked from 4-6 on our party day. Only have party tickets for that day, and a one day parkhopper for the following day. Made the FP's about a month ago. No emails yet. Hopefully I do not get one. Do not want to lose my FOP FP for the following day
