Stickers for automatic flushers?

Has anyone used stickers to cover the automatic flusher "eyes?" DS is TERRIFIED of those flushers and I love the sticker idea. How big do the stickers need to be? Will those little dots I use to price garage sale items work? Does putting the sticker on trigger the toilet to flush?

Thanks,
Susy

Tear off a few sheets of TP and drape them over the eye. That will keep it from flushing unexpectedly, and you won't have to try to scrape a sticker off afterwards (Ick!)

A piece of masking tape goes on easy and comes off easy. Nephew had issues with those stupid toilets, too!

I used a 3" x 3" post it. It comes off easier than a sticker. The TP idea sounds great too.

Someone had suggested them in a previous post, and I thought it was crazy. However, I quickly learned their value and it is now a staple item in my bag.

My DD peed fast as lightening, and I pulled her quickly from the toilet to the back of the stall, so she wasn't RIGHT THERE when it flushed. Worked well for us.

another vote for the post-its

We used the stickers that the CMs hand out like candy. They're maybe 2 inches in diameter and have Mickey on them.

Eeewwwwww! I hadn't thought about having to peel the sticker back off. Post-its sound good. Hopefully he'll go use a urinal with dad most of the time anyway... Thanks for all the suggestions!

I never thought about using stickers! My DD5 hates it when it flushes on her and has me hold my hand over the "eye". I don't let go until she is completely done and out of the way!!

I never thought about kids not liking them! My kids call them "magic potties" and think they are the coolest thing.

Another vote for the post its. I keep a supply with me. DD#2 knows to take one in with her. Works great. (It's better than having me in the stall with her to keep my hand over they "eye". Gets kind of crowded in there. :) )

We used the very small post it notes as well, you can often get them very inexpensive in the dollar store. In a pinch you can just cover the eye with your hand or use tp.

Stickers? Wouldn't those be extremely difficult to get back off?

Post-its-that's clever.

My littlest sister is terrified of those toilets, and the post-it's idea sounds really great.

I too used the stickers the CM hand out. And I used the same all the time, I pasted it on a small plastic calendar (the credit card size) and would re use it. I put it lightly on the sensor and it came off really easy.
