Last week we picked up our copy of the new Stitch DVD - we usually don't get dtv sequals, but since this was the introduction of a new series we thought it might be more like Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. The character animation is a bit rough, but it has the original voice actors and seems better than most dtvs to me.

Anyway, there isn't an insert card in the dvd case, but there is a mini-poster that includes several of the other experiments. You probably know that the premise of the pilot and the series is that since Stitch is experiment 626 there are 625 other experiments out there to round up.

Doh, what I hadn't realized, duh, but I finally caught on to when I saw the poster with the other experiments, is this is Disney's version of a new Pokemon - got to catch them all. So now we have 626 characters with different abilities, etc. I think that is pretty good marketing idea, I hope they capitalize on it with experiment cards and games, etc. I'm sure that you all got the idea of it earlier on, I was just slow for it to click.

Also, from today's disney catalog is a stitch lamp that may be a sort of preview for the stitch AE overlay -

The only potential problem is that Pokemon and the whole Pokemon premise is not considered "cool" any more. Now if they did a Dragon Ball Z clone, then you're talking!

Planogirl, Melissa told me that my reply might sound smart elicky, but that wasn't my intention at all. I was trying to say that whatever of those things are popular today - pokemon, dragonballz, yugioh, I hadn't figured out that was what disney was doing with stitch.
