I just came back from a trip to disney and I noticed that stitsh is completely taking power. I like stitch a little bit but theey just make it annoying. Disney pins now have stitch in other character's roles. Kids are getting stitch painted on their faces and buying stitch ears. He is slowly but surely taking Mickey's spot. Even on buses and monorails and stuff, he is there and calls Magic Kingsdom, Stitch Kingdom (not to mention his lame new ride)

What does everybody else think?

just back and didnt notice. I love stitch and don't mind him being around.

Stitch ears? Wicked! I have to have some. I love stitch, he's one of the coolest characters to come along in ages. He's only going to be everywhere if he's popular, which he is! I'm going in less than two weeks and I'm a stitch maniac! So, I'll answer your question when I've seen it for myself!

I did have an inkling that this might be the case as I was looking at WDW stitch merchandise on eBay, (just to build the excitement) and I was pleased about the amount of things I saw. There is even stitch stuff sold in the tower of terror shop, specific to the ride!

It's going to be bank balance carnage!!!!

I did notice Stitch all over the place, but it doesn't bother me. No offense to Mickey but my kids are more into Stitch than Mickey. Yes, they love the mouse but there's something like Stitch that they relate to...maybe they're obnoxious like him ha! Remember...Disney is a business they'll sell what is popular.

It appears as if Stitch is taking over the magic kingdom (and other parts of WDW) because that was the gimmick used for the openning of Stitches Great Escape. If you ride the ride you'll notice that in the end Stitch is spotted in the magic kingdom. I don't that it is a purposeful attempt by Disney for Stitch to replace Mickey. BTW - there are lots of different kinds of "ears" - mickey, minnie, tigger, pooh, goofy, princess minnie, and yes stitch

I'm glad we'll be able to find lots of Stitch items. He's my ds's favorite, so I plan to stock up for Christmas!

I don't think there's a big conspiracy for Stitch to take over, but they might be pushing Stitch items to the kids who aren't into the princess thing. If anybody is taking over WDW, it's that primadonna sorority of princesses. If you think about it, the princesses are only going to appeal to girls between the ages of 2 and 6 (maybe older??). That leaves all the boys and a large number of older girls. Perhaps Stitch is picking up a little slack because The Incredibles didn't go over as well as predicted. It seems like of all the boy-oriented characters that Buzz and Woody are the most popular. I wonder if Disney is downplaying them because of the whole Disney/Pixar split. Is Stitch making a sequel?? They could be gearing up for that.

No..He's just having his 15 minutes of fame before "the Boss" comes down on him like a ton of bricks. I heard the Mickey is only putting up with it because he feels sorry for the little guy and hopes to get him into rehab to control his chili habit and unsociable behavior.

This is now and always will be Mickey's place, kingdom, domain, name it what you wish. The others only survive because the big cheese let them. Let's hope he enjoys it while it lasts.

 :confused3 :hourglass :rotfl:

I think that Soarin', Lights, Motor, Action, Cinderellabration, and Expedition Everest should be though instead of Stitch. The fact is, Stitch's Great Escape is NOT part of the Happiest Celebration on Earth. In a way, it isn't fair that that ride gets to much attention and the others dont.

There is too much Stitch and it is annoying. I hope they tone him down soon.

At christmas, the most popular hat was Santa's with stitch ears... I know because my daughter bought one :D

I don't mind stitch, but he does have a lame attraction IMO

I personally like Stitch. Also I have 2 boys and its nice to have something else besides the norm once in a while. Kids go through phases on what they like and this will come and go too.

I am not a Stitch fan at all. I just can't stand that guy but my DS(11) loves him and is very similiar to the little alien. We did have a cute moment with Stitch at AK last week where he acted like he was going to run off with my DS and then he hit the wall when he couldn't go through. My son was just so happy that he waved bye to us. Now back to the statement. Yes, it does seem like he is taking over all the parks but that is because Disney is no fool. They know what they can collect the most money off of and right now that is Stitch. He is extremely popular, whether you like him or not, the kids do. But I don't believe that Disney is going to forget what got them to be #1. ::MickeyMo Mickey will always be top dog ..... er mouse.

I <3 Stitch... I don't think he's taking over, really.

We were there when Stitch tee-peed the castle at MK last year. When my DH saw that I thought he was going to go ballistic! DH is a very mild mannered gentleman, but he was really upset with the whole Stitch Great Escape thing.

I really couldn't care less about him. Didn't care for the "ride", but to carry this theme over to the point of "trashing" the MK with the Stitch slogans, the tee-peeing the castle... Well I think that is a bit much. When we go to the MK and walk down Main Street it ruins the beauty.

I guess I do care, I'll be glad when Stitch's 15 minutes of fame are over. ::MickeyMo

YES!!! They are going a little overboard with the whole Stitch thing! The ride/attraction was just horrible!!! (Actually my family of six is split 50/50 on this subject!)

I like Stitch and I don't mind seeing him on the Monorail and Disney Busses, but I WAS VERY UNHAPPY THAT HE IS NOW INCLUDED IN MICKEY'S WAKE UP CALL!!! I LOVE the old wake up call with Mickey, ONLY MICKEY. I hope they remove Stitch and return it to the old one!!

The TP'ing of the castle (which I thought was precious) only lasted one day, and that was only for the grand opening of Stitch's Great Escape (which I also love). Sorry it ruined your whole trip!

I don't think that Stitch is taking over Disney. I think he is everywhere because he is so popular. Kids love him ( and some adults too). My daughter loves him and I think he's really cute!! I know in the Disney store he is very popular and so is Dash from the Incredibles.
