Hello
We are driving up from the Poconos (PA) for the JetBlue 8:30 flight. We were going up early that morning but I have been hearing that I84 has a lot of construction so I was thinking that we would go up the night before and stay overnight at the Days Inn.
Has anyone stayed there and left their car in their parking lot (the Park & Fly Package)?

~ If we drive up that morning we will need to use the airport parking, hopefully the credit card long term lot. If that lot is full are the overflow lots (shown on the airport map long term or economy lots?)

Thanks

I'm not sure if the Days Inn has park and fly, but I know the Courtyard by Marriot and the Super 8 do. We have an 8:30 flight on 10/15 and I thought I was bidding on the Courtyard room on Priceline, but it turned out to be the Super 8. I'm very disappointed, but I guess that's the risk you take when you name your own price. The reviews of the Super 8 make me think they bought a star to bring them up to two stars. The Courtyard has a shuttle that leaves anytime, where as Super 8 doesn't start until 7am. I'm a little nervous to arrive only an hour or so in advance, so I think we will have to grab a cab. If your traveling on 10/15 - I'll see you on the flight.

We stayed at the Days in on their Park & Fly package last November, and it was fine. The room was basic, but large, and we were able to get a cot (we had 3 adults and 2 kids). The shuttle driver was courteous, and the airport is so small it's a piece of cake to navigate.

Do you think that one hour prior to the flight would be enough time to get through security? We have never flow from SWF and I didn't realize is was a small airport. Thank you!

"Small" doesn't quite describe SWF: "minuscule" is more like it! You can walk through the whole place in a few minutes!

We've flown out of there several times, and never waited more than a few minutes at the security line. Come to think of it, I don't think the check-in counters even open much earlier than an hour prior to the morning flight. We usually plan to be there 1:15 before, but that allows time for our 7 year old twins to walk with their luggage from the parking lot. An hour should be sufficient, especially if you are getting dropped off at the door and don't have to walk from a parking lot. It's a far cry from Bradley or the other NY area airports, if that is what you are used to.

YMMV of course, but my guess would be that you'll be past security with time to get breakfast... if there were somewhere there you could get breakfast! Which is another point: make sure you eat before you leave the hotel, or have something with you. As I recall, there is nowhere to get food at the airport!

Thank you very much! I would be a lot easier to just hop on a shuttle. Thanks for the tip about breakfast!!! I never would have thought there would not be any place to get food at an airport. Thanks again!

I fly Stewart every chance I get. The parking is good and not expensive. There is a quiznos inside the terminal (where the check in counters are) and they make a nice breakfast sandwich. They also sell muffins and things at that quiznos. Have a great trip.

Thanks a lot! I'm not sure how good the breakfast at the hotel will be or if it's worth waking the kids up a half hour earlier. Every second of sleep is precious before a Disney trip!
