It would be nice to think that, but it isn't always true. They can just wash the bottles in the sink. No need for sterilizing.
I wasn't aware anyone in the US still sterilized bottles quite honestly. I know we didn't with DGD, who is 9 now. Didn't with DD for that matter. They told us when I had DD that unless you had a questionable water source, like a self dug and untreated well, it was just not necessary. Are you sure they still sterilize the bottles?
Wow, learn something new all the time. We used tap water. Never been told otherwise. Thankfully the kids were all fine with it (used powdered formula too)It's till highly recommended to sterilize the nipples (especially when there's oral thrush involved)...but we just used the sterilize setting on the dishwasher. And the formula water technically needs to be sterilized (but I wouldn't use tap water for that or a resort provided coffee maker unless I was out of options).
That's all we ever did for 2 kids. They can just wash the bottles in the sink. No need for sterilizing.

And they told us not to use the dishwasher for nipples. Was known to make them brittle, and cracked
Thankfully, never had to battle thrush but yeah, if you have an illness, all procedures change of course. Illness, immune compromised, etc, different processes all together.
Hi all,
I have a family member heading down to WDW next weekend with an infant. What are her options for sterilizing bottles? Is there a coffee maker or Keurig?
I know there isn't a microwave....
It is probably not popular to say because for those of us that were told to do it, by our doctor, heard it so many times from people that didn't know our child's medical history. There are microwaves in the foodcourt. Maybe not a popular thought, but if there's no medical necessity, skip sterlizing the bottles. When my kids were little, the pediatrician said it wasn't necessary.
