well, if your employer is overweight, and you're overweight (roughly the same size) they may actually use that in your favor, in terms of human capital. if you match the people in charge, it will be (unintentionally) helpful. meaning size, race, gender, etc.

it definitely is true, my boss (who is young, and extremely dim) says to me "did you ever notice we have such a good looking staff here?! i think i did that on purpose, i dunno why but i'm reluctant to hire ugly people"
i wanted to punch him.
(i work @ a record store, and it's all young people working there btw.)
also our staff is made up of 8 girls and 4 guys, so that also tells you what he's looking for in his employees. :rolleyes:
 

Well, from a psychological standpoint, I think people are just automatically drawn to attractive people. They can seem more put-together, educated, friendly, etc. Most people also seem to favor others who are like them.
