Day 1:
Ok here we go....just got back today and I'm exhausted from walking, eating, and drinking. Myself (Stepman, looking to have a great time with the bro ...and just go nuts), and my brother(the exact opposite of me, likes Disney but is not crazy about it) Ages:22 and 21, my brother just turned 21 and could not wait to drink with at the wdw bars. First time without parents, so we were on are own.
11:00 AM depature time from philly, two and half hours of listening to music, games, and drinking we finally arrived at the airport. Took a shuttle to the Doubletree Suites at LBV. This is one of my favorites resorts just because of its location and the room itself. Unpacked and walked to Jungle Jims at the crossroads. Great place for burgers, no one in the whole place. Played Pirates Cove mini golf, and stopped at Goodings for some water, gatorade, and some liquor.
4:00 PM we get back to our rooms and just feel like relaxing the entire night because the next three days we be long and hot. Passed out at around 9:00 pm on my own bed.

Day 2
This will be a fun day, off to MGM. Woke up two hours early, got ready and waited for a bus 8:00 in the morning. Of course it doesn't get there till 8:30. Now we have to go to all the other hotels, Best Western, Govsener(I can't think of the spelling), The Hilton, and the Wyndam. Around 9:15 we walk into the park. It looks like everyone is heading for the two big rides. I'm worring about how much of a wait time it will the rest of the day. The first ride we do, The Twlight Zone Tower of Terror........first time on it since they changed it up with the random drops,,,,,eh.....it was alright, great thrill and the themeing of the hotel is still awesome. Next Rockin Roller coaster, walk on....no wait, lovin it. Take a smoke break and eat at Starring Rolls Bakery. Walk over to One Mans Dream, love the miniatures. Skip the film and walk over to muppets.

12:30 PM Go to Sci Fi diner for lunch. Order a burger and chili, the same with my brother. Order a drink that got me a little funny. The Comet, pretty much a long island. Two of those down, the waitress comes by, "you know, one more and you would have all three light cubes", ok......bring it over. The drinks cost more than the meal. Feeling pretty good right now, have a smile on face that I can't get off. Ride the great movie ride. We were the last to be seated and had our own row....got to relax and watch the movies.

2:30 Ride Star Tours, no line (whats going on, no lines for anything, this is amazing!) Walked around some more. Oh great, the car show just started. Oh well, About to walk on Mickey Ave. My brothers gasps at something and points.....A BAR.....here on the corner of a sidewalk, I never saw this before. We sit down and started drinking. In order, Margarhita's, Long Island, Beer, 2 Jager shots, and another beer, all in about an hour. After leaving all I could was smile with my sunglasses on and just hang on for the ride. With no plans we decide we want to eat at DTD. Off we go, but how to get there?????

5:00 we start walking to the Boardwalk, Laughing and having a good time and the only ones of the path. Get to the boardwalk and get the bus to DTD. Walk over to West Side at shop at the music store. Get some CD's and we go to eat at Bongo's Cuban Cafe. Ehhhhhh, the food is alright, a little loud form the kids running around. I don't recommend this place. The only thing that was good was the Margarhita. We finally start walking and get back to Doubletree, It's a about a good mile or so. Get in the room and relax.. ahhhh no more walking. Two hours later I passed out for good.....................Tomorrow: Epcot: The Future, The culture, and the Alcohol.

I'm sooooo glad you said there was "no lines" because when my DH and I were there this time 3 years ago we walked onto sooooo many rides. I've read a couple threads and it was sounding like it was a bit more crowded than usual for this time. We will be going soon and I'm hoping for "walk-ons". Bring on the next report!

Glad to hear you had a great trip! We will be at Doubletree next weekend. Is this the one in DTD? If so, how was the transportation? We'll have a car, but it would be nice not to use it. Can't wait to hear more!

If I had a car, I would use it. A couple of days we walked from DTD to our hotel and it gets to you when you're in the sun for long periods of time. The buses started an hour prior to park opening(ex. - MGM opens at 9, the first bus gets there at 8:00), but they were always late. The bus comes at around 8:15, so if we missed that, we have to wait until 8:45 to get the next bus. then by the time you make it to the park, it's already opened.
