We are flying Frontier Airlines arriving at MCO from SLC at about 6 pm. We are staying at the POR for 10 nights.

~ What are the steps needed to take to get ME reservations?

~ Do I need reservations?

~ Do I need to claim my luggage and schlep it on the bus or will they deliver it for me? If so, how much later in the evening should I expect it to arrive? How late do they deliver luggage?

~ What about the day we leave WDW; do I call ME at some point? Our departing flight doesn't leave until 7:30 pm so after packing and checking out of the POR, how will I get my luggage on the ME bus? Again, do I schlep it around or will they come and get it from the POR?

I am sorry for all of the questions but for some reason this is totally confusing me.

Thanks for any help! :thumbsup2

If you are more than 60 days from your trip, call the Disney Reservations Center at 407-WDISNEY. If you are 60 days or less, call DME directly at 866-599-0951.

Yes. See above.

Part of the DME info you'll receive in the mail several weeks before your trip will be special DME luggage tags. Put one on each piece of checked luggage before you leave home. After you check your bags with your airline at SLC, the next time you'll see those checked bags will be when they are on the inside of your WDW resort room (they will be delivered whether you are in there or not). When you get off the plane, you can totally skip baggage claim. Just go directly to the DME Welcome Center, check in, and then you'll be shown to your bus queue. You will, of course, have your carry-ons with you.

Expect the delivery of your checked luggage to arrive within about 3 hours of when you arrive at the resort.

When you make your DME reservations, they will ask your flight information, and you will make DME reservations for your arrival day and your departure day. Early on the morning of the day prior to your departure, you will get an envelope hanging from your room's doorknob. In there will be your assigned DME bus pick-up time.

Check out time is 11:00 a.m. You can arrange for Bell Services to come pick up your bags prior to check out time. They will store your bags for you, even your carry-ons. Go out and play. Your bus pick up time will be roughly 4:30 or so. Get back to POR by 4:00 so you have time to get your bags from storage (sometimes they get very busy). After the bus arrives, the driver will load your bags under the bus, and you will get them back when you arrive at the airport. From there, you take your bags to your airline's ticket counter to check in, like you would do at any other airport.
