I have a standard room at Stella next week and high floor checked under preferences. Ive seen a lot of mixed reviews and am a very light sleeper! Are there any requests I should make or rooms/areas to avoid besides the obvious like next to elevators? I appreaciete any advice!

Must've missed those. Seems lovely by all accounts I follow, including this sites' TA.

Perhaps some guests don't have their expectations set accordingly for a value resort?

Curious, Is there anything specific in the reviews you've read that is sticking out to you? (Other than the thin walls, that tends to apply to value properties at the parks in general.)

Finally, 10 days before our arrival, was able to switch over to Nova for upcoming trip, same price range. Wanted ability to walk to park.

Yeah I've seen some mixed reviews as well - many are from when it opened which seems to have been a bit of a mess.
Many were also over dramatized for views IMO.

I've booked 10 nights at stella for an upcoming stay because its the cheapest option - even cheaper than a value like Dockside - I guess this is a "Prime Value". I don't even plan to go to Epic unless its added to an AP.

I have heard a lot about the walls being thin - seems to be a common theme at many newer hotels - I've even heard the same for Helios.

I've not had issues with Dockside or Aventura so I am a little concerned - but at $40 cheaper a night Ill figure it out.

I recommend getting a white noise machine as that tends to help.
I've picked this one up on Amazon for $10 on sale. Its small and rechargeable.

I always travel with one, maybe Ill have to get two, lol

I also agree, some reviews were questionable complaining but I saw enough to be concerrned. It was closer to opening, but read that the motion sensors were triggering from people moving in their sleep and lighting up the whole room! That is not pleasant, Im wondering if thats still the case if someone gets up for a late night potty break. Like you said, well figure it out but we are planning on a very early morning for Epic so I am stressed about the sleeping conditions :)
