Hi All,

My family and I (2 adults, 2 kids) will be going to Universal Studios Orlando in July 2025. We have purchased the 3 day 3 day park to park + 1 day Park Epic ticket. Right now, we are booked 1 night at Royal Pacific, and 3 nights at Aventura. I am contemplating between keeping the Aventura room or switching to Stella Nova. The pros for Aventura are walking to the boat to the other parks and walking to Volcano Bay. The pro for Stella Nova is that it is new and has a walking path to Epic Universe. What would you do?

I would stick with Aventura (in fact, that's where I've booked myself). I would rather be closer to the parks where I'll be spending more time and have to take the bus to Epic, vs. having to take the bus all but 1 day.

Universal is offering shuttle bus service to EPIC. AFAIK A walking path isn't listed.
It's not advertised well, but both Terra Luna and Stella Nova have walking paths (as well as bus service) to Epic.

I haven't seen the walking path mentioned once. I'm sure there will be one but will the construction be done by opening day?

Aventura if you did a 3 park. The walking path to Volcano Bay is going to make your life easier, Volcano Bay can be a downright pain to get to from the other hotels (you usually have to go to City Walk, then bus hop) and taking the boat back is also much more convenient than taking the bus to the other parks, the last thing you want to do after a long park day is make that treck all the way to the parking garage. Also when its time to hotel hop RP to Aventura is like a 5 to 10 minute drive.

Cabana Bay and Sapphire Falls have really nice pools that you will be allowed to use. Cabana Bay has a lazy river setup, and Sapphire Falls has a water slide, both have fake beach style sand to enjoy, both have hot tubs as well. Both have good snack options in their food areas. Cabana has a 50 styles shake and malt shop and Sapphire has a decent breakfast buffet. Also because you have that easy boat access City Walk for breakfast or dinner become a lot easier to deal with, or heading out to City Walk to get an easy drink.

Final element is that Epic is apparently going to have fireworks show, which may be good the first night, but if you want a quiet night Aventura is going to serve you better.

Depending on the direction of your room at Aventura you could face Epic if they are doing fireworks. My Aventura room back in July faced south I could see I4 and I drive.

Do some Universal Hotels really make you go through the hub to get to Volcano Bay? All the ones I've stayed at have had direct bus routes to and from VB. Very easy.

I never saw a Volcano Bay shuttle at Docksides/Surfsides. Aventura/Sapphire/Cabana nobody really needs it. I think the Premier Hotels do have the buses for Volcano Bay? I remember seeing one during a Portofino stay.
