Steamboat Willie?

Hello,
Is there a character meet for steamboat willie at Disneyland? Thanks!

Last I knew he was one of the Mickeys you might meet at Mickey's house in Toontown. It was totally random though, and depended on how many they had running that day. It was a pain to finally pin him down.

That was the end of 2014. But I haven't heard about anything changing there since then. Maybe others will weigh in. Honestly, it was such a pain that we probably won't try ever again. We had to go through the line a number of times hoping to get him before a nice CM finally felt sorry for us and put us in the right spot.

Some extended family met him last summer (at Mickey's house like PP), but we have been to Mickey's house dozens of times and never have. I don't think he's there very often, so you'd have to get lucky with him being there and get lucky to get sent to his room.

Us too! We were getting desperate it was our last day we flying home the next day and he was the one character DS desperatly wanted to meet . I quietly pleaded to the CM and he took pity on us.

Thanks for the responses!! So there might be a chance? I'm the biggest Steamboat Willie fan. I would probably cry is I saw him. Can I ask those that spoke with a CM about it? Were they nice and willing to get you in the right room?

I tried quietly asking the attendant letting people into the back. All I got there was "I guess you'll just have to see...." and of course it was always a different one. I tried quietly asking one of the other attendants inside the meeting room how to go about it and just got "Keep trying back." But we tried again the next year and this time the attendant decided to make some magic and had us wait outside the exit then brought us into a room to meet Steamboat Willie.

I will say that when asking, you need to do so quietly and with an eye toward the magic they are trying to maintain. You are supposed to believe Mickey is only meeting in one room in one predetermined costume. You wouldn't want any little kids to overhear you. Something like "It would sure make my day to finally find Steamboat Willie here. Is there a particular time of day that he is more likely to appear?" gets the point across.

I tried quietly asking one of the other attendants inside the meeting room how to go about it and just got "Keep trying back." But we tried again the next year and this time the attendant decided to make some magic and had us wait outside the exit then brought us into a room to meet Steamboat Willie.

Wow, thanks for the info. The first time I saw Steamboat was at Fantastic. FIrst time seeing it. I think maybe 10 years ago. I didn't know he was in the show. Tears ran down my face when I saw what him on the boat. I will never forget it.

My family met Steamboat Mickey inside the theater on Main Street one year... But that was about 2009-2010.

I met Steamboat Mickey in September 2016. I was excited because he is my favorite Mickey and it was my birthday!

We met him in July 2016. We have been going to DLR every summer for the last several years and every summer I hope we see him and every summer we see a different Mickey (although I do love Bandleader Mickey who we got to meet one year). I about jumped for joy when the door opened and I saw Steamboat Willie standing there.

We have been able to meet him twice by asking the CM in charge very nicely. From what I understood there are a few different rooms back there with different Mickeys (bandleader, steamboat, classic, and I believe fantasia). If he is one of the options available and you let the CM know how much it would mean, they will probably let you stand to the side so that you get the visit Steamboat Willie

That's great info. We will be there starting March 3rd. So excited to see if he is there!

Just got back today from five glorious days. On Monday, February 14th I can verify that Steamboat Mickey was present and we had photos with him. Never asked for it, just happened.
