Hi Gang
I'm just reading Walt Disney World and Orlando 2007 and it mentions a train that goes around the perimeter of the park with three stations.
Can you use this train to get from one section of Mk to the other? I mean, are you stuck on it for the entire ride or can you get off as you please at these stations? I'm thinking it might save some wear and tear on the feet in the heat!
Thanks for your help!:thumbsup2

Three stops and you can get on and/or off at any one. Main Street, just as you go into the park, Frontierland which is between Splash and Big Thunder Mountains, and then Toontown for the little ones. It's a delightful way to rest the tootsies, get a (small) breeze, and get around the park. Have fun!

As much as I'd like to walk the hundred miles to and from each section of the park, it's good to know there's an alternative.
Thanks!!
How often does it run? Is it crazy busy?

It runs a continuous circuit, all day, no schedule, just as crowds warrant. I don't think it sits idle much. There is more than one train on the track, three I think, so you don't wait too long for a ride. You can bring your Mickey Bar on with you or your drink and enjoy it during the ride, just don't litter!

Just to add, the train was down when we went for our first trip 2 yrs ago, but we used it lots last year. It's a great break from the walking especially later in the day when the kids (and parents) are tired.

On our last trip we were told by the CM working the gate at the Frontierland station that the train is about 7 mins between stops with 3 stops and therefore about a 21 minute round trip. She said with 3 trains running one should come along about every 7 minutes and if only 2 trains are running you'll have either a 7 or 14 minute wait.
