Steam irons?

My iron quit this morning I have a Rowenta Professional Titan Plus which worked well for me for at least ten years. I dread looking for a new iron, went to the Rowenta site and just about , there are so many kinds, styles, features.....

I had a Black and Decker that I got about 16 years ago, it was a good heavy iron that pressed well but the new ones are not that sturdy and don't press as well.

Do any of you have any suggestions for a new one? I have not bought one in so long that I am overwhelmed. I iron just about all of our clothes so I need a good iron.

I jsut recently replaced my Black and Decker cheapy that I LOVED with a Rowenta. It was this one, I think. I lOVE IT. I iron 90% of our clothes and ALL of DH's business clothes and this one does great! It's not as light as some of the newer ones but it's not as heavy as the true professional ones. I believe it got really good reviews too ... I review everything!

Yup, I also have a Rowenta. Love it. Bought mine at Bed Bath & Beyond.

I have the Powerglide 2!!! QVC also carries the Rowenta.

OP, you might try eBay for your same exact iron. You might find a brand new one, or a barely used one and finally want to get rid of it. Surely, there must be many people who just have their irons sitting around like paper weights most of the time.

Thank you all for your help. I fussed with it and got it working somehow
I know it won't last but at least it gives me time to replace it.
