Where are the best steaks in WDW? I was considering having a steak at Concourse, but I welcome suggestions for other places that have awesome steaks.

I am from Texas, so I know good steak. Moooo! :earboy2:

Thank you nygrl. My FIL really wants steak when we go, so I don't know that price will be an issue with him.

hi bytheblood.

Don't have an answer to your question, but noticed you were from Dallas. Me too, well Irving actually. Myself and DD are staying at POFQ in June too. What days are your trip for? princess: ::MickeyMo princess:

We eat at Yatchsman Steakhouse every trip. The steaks are wonderful as is the service. They also have an excellent steak at Flish Fish.

Shula's is the best. Narcoosees is awesome. Le Cellier is not to be missed. But Shula's blows them all away.

The best steak we have found is at Flying fish, or the buffalo steak at Artist Point.

Yachtsman Steakhouse, for someone from Texas..don't even do it..yuck. (We used to live in Colleyville)

While we enjoyed Le Cellier, Yachtsman Steakhouse blew it away for us. What an amazing meal we had at Yachtsman!

Hi there, I PM'd you. :)

Been to 3 - Yachtsman, Concourse and Le Cellier. Yachtsman is my first choice - nice quite atmosphere, excellent service and great food. Concourse - been there twice - first time was excellent service and food. Second time the we waited forever and our food was overcooked. The waitress was so apolegetic (not her fault) and they did knock some off the bill. The only drawback there if you want a nice quiet dinner for the price you are paying is the monorail and the noise from Chef Mickeys. Le Cellier - been there, done that. Very over rated in my opinion. Quality of the steak when we were there - on par with Ponderosa. Service was nothing to talk about either.

I've dined at Yachtsman, Shula's, Concourse, Le Cellier, which are the primary "steakhouses" at WDW. I've also had steak at Artist's Point, Citrico's, California Grill, Jiko, Fulton's, and Bistro.

Of all of them, a Texan steak lover would probably most enjoy Shula's. It's also probably the most expensive.

I prefer the filet at Jiko over all of them, phenomenal! But it's not a slab o' meat on a plate, which it sounds like what you're looking for.

The Concourse is OK, but it's a "B" level steahouse--much better than Sizzler, but not outstanding by any means.

Le Cellier is another good place, although we had bad food and service there last year and haven't been back. We think that was a fluke, but it's perhaps one of the more inconsistent of the list.

Had a TERRIBLE meal at Artists Point with a steak that was worthy of being called shoe leather. Ate there agin a few months ago, had a much better meal but steered clear of the steak.

Citrico's and Bistro have great steaks, as does Fulton's, but none of them are steakhouses, and I do'nt think what you're looking for.

Yachtsman's--After suffering through a bad slump for a few years, they're coming back strong. We've had some good meals there lately, and it would certainly be a worthy choice if Shula's isn't going to work for you. Depending on teh appetites of your party, it could end up being a less expensive option.

Just my thoughts...

Anne

While we haven't tried all the steak opportunities at WDW, we love Yachtsman. As the granddaughter of a cattle rancher who has eaten steak all my life and cries when a restaurant butchers it (hee hee...get it? "butchers" it?!), I have never had a bad cut or preparation of meat here. After reading such stellar reviews of Le Cellier (sp?) in EPCOT's Canada, went there last trip and lets just say that my DH had to put on his rain gear for the waterworks that followed. I was not impressed at all.

The best steak the Yachtsman or Jiko.

In the same week we ate at Jiko's and CA Grill. My husband and I both had the steak at both locations (red meat lovers) that was a very similar cut. We both agreed that CA Grill was better. If we had eaten at Jiko's first we would have been happier, but we had that great steak at CA Grill first and then ate at Jiko's. princess: pirate: :earboy2:

We've never tried Shula's as it sounds like the type of steakhouse that is easy to find in Chicago..great steaks to be sure but when in WDW, we want Disney atmosphere.

We've had mixed experiences with the filet at Jiko. Don't think we've ordered steak at Citricos. Narcoossee's at the GF has good steak. Yachtsman at Y&BC is excellent again after some years during which we were disappointed. We've never had dinner at the Concourse. Brown Derby has good steak as does Artist Point.

I think you might be disapponted in LeCellier. The quality is not that of a good steakhouse in our experience although the service is pure Disney.

Our most consistent experience with good steak (other than Victoria & Albert's) has been at California Grill.

Shula was just great, but was not too Disney at all... its was more like those expansive steakhouses every big city got. If he's looking just for a piece of meat... even foregoing vegetables, lol (only vegetable I got was my dessert!), its the place!

Yachtsman was unbelievable both times I was there. First time I got the Kansas City Strip... very good! I have to recommend either oysters or buffalo mozzarella-tomato sald for appetizer. Other time, I got the Land and Sea... filet just melted in the mouth and lobster tail... yummy!

California Grill? Well... they did manage to make a filet mignon into an average piece of meat... I would have been better off with a sirloin! To make it worst, the filet mignon was more expansive than at Shula's or Yachstman!

Le Cellier... that's when I learned to steer clear of filet mignon at Disney restaurants... once again, bit expansive for a very average filet and the side? Just a scoop of mashed potatoes. Service was terrible too. Waited 10 minutes to see my waiter... had to run after him for drinks, etc.

Off topic, Mythos at IOA is THE place for a cheap, tasty filet mignon!

SHULA'S! If you have ever eaten at Ruth Chris or Morton's, this steak is along those same lines. Melt in your ever lovin mouth!

My DH and I really enjoyed our food there. He went back to WDW 8 months later for a business trip and ate at The Yachtman's and he said it was definitely on par with Shula's, with better theming.
