We've had steak at Coral Reef and it was delicious but made a res at Le Cellier instead for a change. I've read several recent bad reviews on Le Cellier's service, quality of food, etc and am now reconsidering. Please offer your input if you have recently dined at Le Cellier. Thank you! :thumbsup2

I'll tell you in a few weeks after I come back and have eaten steaks at both!

We've had steak at both Coral Reef and Le Cellier. While the steak at Coral Reef is good, it doesn't compare to Le Cellier.

To the OP, don't change a reservation based on opinion here on the DIS, there are so many different opinions and vary widely; an example is the one I'm about to make.

To the PP, I have a different opinion. I have had both Coral Reef and Le'Cellier, and IMHO I think the steak is better at Coral Reef than Le'Cellier. For me, I like the steaks at CR, WCC, and Captains Grill better than I do Le'Cellier. Once Le'Cellier goes signature in March, I think it makes their steak even more inferior when compared to the other 2ts restaurants available.

Just my two cents. ;)

We've been to both restaurants. I'd say definitely Le Cellier has a much better steak than Coral Reef. Definitely try Le Cellier before it goes signature and it costs you two TS credits.

The guys in our party all thought the steak was better at Coral Reef than Le Cellier, and even if they were close -- the ambiance at Coral Reef is a zillion times better in my opinion.

the service is certainly more professional although it's charming to hear the servers @ LC talk about their homeland too, just a different vibe.

the steak & lobster bisque are very good @ CR

@ LC, the overall food quality seems to have dipped a notch, with our steaks shrinking over the years;)especially lunch portions..yet I believe their beef is aged differently and tastes better overall. I was disappointed with the pictured s'more last go-around, so hard must've been sitting out some time.:confused3CM said they were all the same that day:confused:. imo, DH orders the chocolate moose as much for the giggle as the taste

The best steak I had on our last trip was at the Wave in the Contemporary. Perfectly cooked. Perfectly juicy. Can't wait to have another one. I'm not interested in LeCellier because it's hard to get reservations and by the time we take our next trip, it will be 2 TS credits for dinner :-(

best steak we ever had at disney belongs to shula's. after dinner you can walk around the boardwalk. we think lecellier is way over rated. it's dark and noisy inside and the service wasn't that great last time we were there. although the pretzel sticks are awesome.

I havent tried steak at Coral Reef.

I enjoyed Le Cellier, but I thought the steak was no big deal. It was on pat with a chain like Outback or Longhorn. My favorite aspects of the meal were the pretzel bread, tomato stack, maple creme brulee, and the excellent service.

If you're looking for a wonderful steak, I'd go elsewhere. If you're looking for an enjoyable dining experience with a just OK steak, then Le Cellier fits the bill. Of course you could do what I will next time I go and have Cheese Soup as an entree! :rotfl:

I enjoyed my steak and LeCellier.. but I did not order it at coral reef, and my son did.. I was so jealous!!!

Aside from the long wait for a table, my meal at Coral Reef was far superior to my meal at Le Cellier in both flavor and service.
