We are two adults planning a Disney trip for January. I've heard the nights can get very cold, and I was wondering what we'd want to do to keep warm :) Thanks!

You can get a Buddy heater. It runs on the small green propane bottles. It is tent safe. I have one we have used in our popup. It did a great job at keeping us warm. We did have to change the bottle once during the night.

I go camping pretty often, never in Disney. But what I do to keep warm..hmm..

Lots of blankets! There are specific sleeping bags you can get that is suppose to keep you very warm, but i'm usually good with lots of blankets, my boyfriend next to me, and sleeping in a sweatshirt and pants

:lmao:
excuse me while I go get my mind outta the gutter.

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.

That just makes it even more hot ;).

Sorry.... We use a small electric heater when we tent camp, does a fine job.

I'm impressed. It only took 4 posts (2 if you count the "tea" and wink) to get this into the gutter. Just my kind of place.

January can get into the 30s at night. I think an electric heater would take the chill off. I used to backpack any month of the year (from St Louis). They make some very good sleeping bags, but they aren't very conducive to snuggling. They are also pretty pricey for one trip.

I'd go with an electric heater and body contact. Or if you're married to my DW, an electric heater, sweats and thick socks. :upsidedow

"Tea" is the euphemism used on one board I visit. "Folding socks" is used on another. ;-)

My first thought was in the gutter, since I have recovered from that thought I would have to say I personally would have to have a nice, warm hotel room:thumbsup2

A nice warm hat, like a touque. The hard part is getting out of the sleeping bag in the morning. have not used a heater in the tent, even with frost on the roof.

Some beer or Jim Beam and a friendly attitude could bring some body warmers.

I have never camped at Disney in a tent but I have gone tent camping during hunting season in the mountains. May I suggest possibly getting a cot or air mattress to keep your body off the cold ground plus it would be more comfortable. Also just buddle up with blankets. Good Luck

This is an Army trick but it should work if you have a vehicle. Turn your car on and put the opening of your tent where the car heater's air blows out (in the army the vehicle had a hose you could disconnect but should work fine with the vent of your vehicle. Once the inside of the sleeping bag is warm go straight to the tent and immediately get in your sleeping bag. You are mostly cold in a sleeping bag because your body has to warm it. If it is already warm this is not necessary. Your body heat will keep the sleeping bag comfortable for the night. A toboggan can keep your head warm.
PS If it is taking a while for the heater in your vehicle to warm the sleeping bag roll your car windows down for obvious reasons.

Ha! Genius! Thank you XD

When I was a young'n, ever time it got colder we would just throw another dog on the bed.
Course that's not as possible when yer camping.
Not being as young as I usta was, if I were gonna tent camp at the Fort, I would buy a electric blanket to put the sleeping bags on and crank that puppy up about a hour before I was ready to hit the hay.
May be wrong but I think that'd keep ya warm.:confused3

Make sure you isulate under your body even with an air matress.

Also you have electric, instead of using a heater that burns fuel just bring a small electric heater and an extention cord that can handle the amps. Also maybe a small table to get it up off the floor.
