We are WLV owners and that's the only DVC property we've stayed at. We've vacationed at moderate resorts, Polynesian, and WL. We are planning a quick 4 day trip w/ just me and DH this Feb and were thinking of trying somewhere new. DH wants to try BWV due to close proximity (walking) to EPCOT and MGM. I'm up for trying something new.

I'll miss the cozy warm feeling of WL especially in the cooler weather but hey.

Weird question but where do you eat breakfast at BWV? There's the Bakery but they seem to only have 2 egg dishes, both w/ ham - ick. Where can a girl get some bacon? The only other place seems to be Spoodles which is more sit down plated breakfast. Guess I'm just used to better counter service options.

What areas should we request? Not too concerned w/ views. Is it a long walk from the Villas to EPCOT? Not even sure what else to ask.

Why do you like it?

Why do you not like it?

Thanks!

If you're getting a 1-B/R, try OKW. The size of the unit will WOW you.

If you're getting a Studio (which it sounds like since you're talking about buying breakfast), then BWV or BCV would be good choices due to both their proximity to the parks and the fact that those Studios have the sofa, which is nice when there's only two people.

Of course, for just a few more points than a Studio at BCV or BWV prefered view, you can get an extremely spacious 1-B/R at OKW...... :teeth:

Anywhere you pick will be great. But, just to let you know, I have breakfast at Spoodles all the time. The service is usually very fast in the a.m. and breakfast is excellent!

Even in a studio we eat breakfast in the room. However, we've stayed at the Swan/Dolphin and have eaten breakfast there at Tubby's, it's "walk through the line with a tray." It seems to me that you ask for your eggs and they make them fresh, but I don't remember 100%, we're staying at the Swan before the MC, so I'll know then. It's not a long walk from BWV. There's a 20% discount.

Bobbi :flower:

PS. For February and just the two of us, we would stay at VWL.

Yep we're looking for a Studio. We have a big family trip in the plans for Fall 2006 so need to save on pts. I hear so much about OKW and it seems they have a HUGE following.

I know nothing about OKW but all I think of is a bunch of pastel building w/ nothing much to do, no theming etc...please don't flame me I'm just ignorant on the subject of OKW. I need to go look at some pics. DH liked the walking to EPCOT since we like to eat a lot there a lot. We'll have to take a bus over to OKW and check it out. Everyone who stays there just seems to LOVE it

Guess we'll be hitting Spoodles for breakfast. I love big-bad-for-you-breakfasts on vacations...that's part of a vacation to me. We've never cooked a meal when we stay in the villas

ANy other opinions on areas to request/avoid at BWV?????????

Thanks!!

Don't forget breakfast at Fresh or Cape May Buffet.

As you can tell from my signature we love the BW!! I can't go to WDW without staying there!!LOL It is perfect in our eyes!! :cloud9:
We are not breakfast eaters, so I can't help ya there. I can tell you that we have had both a standard view and BW view and the extra points for a BW view is well worth it IMO. We have always stayed in a studio and we love the decor and it has been enough space for us. You really can't beet the proximity to Epcot and MGM. We go to Epcot on almost every night of our trip and love the easy stroll back to the resort. It's a 10-15min walk tops. When you are on the villas side of BW you are closer to the walkway to MGM. One night we watched Fantasmic at MGM, then walked back to the BW, stopped and got ice cream on the BW and walked into Epcot and had time to spare to find a perfect viewing spot of Illuminations. And this was with 2 kids in tow! I just love being able to do that. We also love people watching from our BW view balcony. We have always encountered friendly CM's fast/easy check in. I love the rockers outside, so relaxing.
I suppose BCV would have some of the same "pros" we will be there for the first time in Nov so we'll see if we like it as much as BWV.
I just love the feeling of the BW, especially at night. We like being in the middle of the "action". The BW games and entertainment is fun and so is the pool.
Wow I'm really getting excited for our trip!!LOL
