That would be fine--an probably easier on me so I am not stressing about getting everything done the day we leave. I assume FD means front desk? Can you send me the cliff notes version of exactly how all of this is supposed to work (don't want to wade through 28 pages!).
Do I need to add anything to the box?
Bring my own consumables (like tape)?,
what do I put on the box/say to the front desk when I return it?

You can PM me if you don't want to put repeat it all in the thread. Or maybe just tell me the relevant post number???

You look at the list you are in:

You will then PM the person ABOVE your name in the list and give them the REAL LIFE name that YOUR reservation is under so that they can leave the box for you at the front desk (First and last name).


THEN

you will PM the person BELOW you and let them know you are NEW to the box and you will be needing THEIR name for YOU to leave the box at the FRONT DESK for them

can't wait!!!!


NOW once you get the box, you will decorate your window using whatever you wish. All we ask is that you add something of your own into the box. Please keep a running list of what is needed in the box (more tape, glue sticks whatever) and post it here.
We ask that you have the box at the Front Desk the morning you are due to pass it on too! thanks so much!

Okay, then one more stupid question (sorry!)

Is there a list of what is already planned to be in the box? (should I PM the first person on the list?) That way I can plan what I want to add.

My kids are chomping at the bit to go shopping and find stuff to add! Thanks for adding to out Disney Excitement!!!!

Told the DGD x 2 about this . They are excited and can;t wait to decorate our windows, Closer to the date I will need an update on what's in there,. As I'm not at a Holiday time I won't be shopping for that. But I did think of hitting the after Xmas sales for some red,white and bluue lights for May( ready for Memorial Day) and leaving them for July4th and Labor day What do you think?

LoveToScrap, at this point in time, we really don't know what is in everyones boxes until they post here. That's what i am encouraging people to come back to this thread and post what was in their box.

Right now all i am doing is bringing EVERYTHING i want for sure in my window. (easier for me since i am driving!!) so just make sure you bring tape and any signs that you know you MUST have. Then the rest will be a surprise!

I don't arrive until the 29th so sorry i can't help you!!

Sorry I was MIA for awhile! My kids read the DIS and since this is a complete surprize trip, I had to get a different screen name. I also couldn't subscribe to the thread, because they know how to look there too. Then, I foolishly forgot to check my PMs under the new name. But I'm here now and so excited! My husband still doesn't understand why on earth I want to decorate the window, but as long as he doesn't have to do anything, it's OK.

No problem. Since I got into this thread until 27 pages too late I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything --like that each box was themed or that there was an "official list".

I am so excited about this! I very clearly remember reading your OP and being so disappointed that you wouldn't arrive until after we left so we couldn't participate. I am glad I stumbled back onto it in time to be included!

Hi, Everybody! Sounds like the boxes are off to a great start!

ShellyMouse - can you PM me when you get a chance? You and I are the only Box 4 folks at POP during the Christmas holidays so far and I'm bringing so much stuff, just wondering how much you'll want me to leave for you or if you're bringing a lot of your own maybe I should make arrangements to distribute it to other boxes if they want it?

Anybody Going At Christmas Time - I have an extra little 3 ft. tree I can bring if you'd like it for your box. It has lights, but no ornaments. If your box needs white lights for your window, I have plenty to donate. And I have pine garland and big red felt bows. PM me if you're interested.

Also, I hit a surplus of Disney Christmas window clings at the dollar store (mostly Pooh & Gang). If anybody wants some, let me know. They can be mailed. Gave some to my neighbors to decorate their van windows since they're driving down.

Today is first day back to school for us! Makes my Dec. Disney trip seem a little closer.
