Staying outside of Disney for a Disney Trip

Has anyone stayed at the holiday inn maingate east? I checked it out online at orlandovacations.com and we can get a 6 night stay there for $535.62 and it is only 4 minutes from walt disney world. Plus it is newer then a lot of the other hotels (1 1/2yrs old). The rooms look nice. I was wondering if anyone has ever stayed there and what your experience was? Also I always stayed on disney property and never drove into disney every day, has anyone and how is it?

to my knowledge HI hasn't build a new hotel in years and I mean years.

so who is saying this hotel is new?

would try to find a reasonable place closer to WDW in LBV.
