Staying onsite

So, were thinking of heading to DL in July and thinking of scraping up the money to stay on site. Original thought was to stay at the Californian to have the access to the park right from the lobby..but now I am wondering if I stay at one of the cheaper onsite hotels can I still use the entrance in the Californian?

Yes, the entrance into DCA from the GCH is avialable to any onsite guests in the morning.
