Staying Onsite, MM and APs

So, I'm in the middle of planning our next 2 trips out to DLR (a quick one in March for Spring Break, and a longer 8-day trip in July). I got to thinking about what I want to do in terms of staying onsite in July for a couple of nights to take advantage of the unwritten rule that onsite hotel guests get unlimited access to MM. The plan was to stay at least Friday and Saturday nights at PPH and take advantage of MM on Saturday and Sunday mornings. But with our APs we will need to buy block out passes for Saturday. Is this doable so that we can get in early?

I know that the wonderful folks here at DIS will probably be able to answer this qustion. If it's not doable, then I have to rethink the trip dates and what we want to do.

Appreciate all the great guidance, tips, and advice I've gotten here. It's really made our trips better.

We've done this 4 times now! Spent just one night at a resort hotel for MM privelages. I try and make it our last night, so our last day (check out day) we get the MM.

It's not unwritten; just unadvertised. When you check in you'll get a written sheet mentioning the MMs, and the CM might very well write down that you're eligible for it on Sat and Sun.

Make sure you won't want to do this again; thing long and hard about upgrading to a level of AP that won't have the blockout days in your way...you're going on a blockout day once, you might want to do it again!

Somewhere, a bit ago, I swore I saw someone mention that they could buy blockout passes at their onsite resort.

But if I were in this position, I'd leave for the MM as early as possible, get through bagcheck. Ask a CM about the earliest opening ticket booth, get in line there (if only one of you needed a blockout pass I'd suggest that one get in line at the turnstiles while the other stood at the ticket booth, but I think you both need to be there), get your passes, and get into a line asap.

Maybe someone can chime in if the guest relations/services booth to the left of the DL Gates is open before MM, and if they sell passes!
