Staying one extra day at VWL

My family (myself, DW, DS5 and DS2.5) had reservations to stay at VWL from 12/28/03-1/2/04. After some thought (and noticing increasing airfares for those dates) I asked DW if we could stay 1 extra day (leaving, instead, on 1/3/04). DW was skeptical, asking why I would "waste" that many points on a Friday. I explained that Jan. 1 was the start of a "cheaper" points season.

We are staying the extra day and leaving on 1/3/04!

This will be our longest stay at WDW (so far), our first time ever at VWL (though we have stayed at the WL resort) and the first time with our children. I don't know who will be more excited about being "home".... myself .... or the children!

BTW, I WAS able to find cheaper airfare for flights departing 1/3/04.

If I had to guess, I'd say YOU are going to be the most excited about your trip! Good for you! Congrats on getting an extra day of magic. Have fun at our "house". We'll be there this July. I also can't wait! Count me in as the most excited member of the bunch.

You'll never have to ask me to stay an extra day, I'm always trying to eek out an extra one!!! Fabulous job on your trip planning, congrats!
