We are staying in a Villa on the Vista Park Estate on the H27 in Feb. we have always stayed the other end of the 192 (near Wallmart) or LBVista area/Idrive.

I cant rememver the 27 and I know this seems a popular area now and I hope you can give me some hints and tips on supermarkets /dining locally. we have our favourites on the 192/Idrive, and I was wondering if I will find these on the 27. (Tony Romas/ Olive Garden G Corrall and Wallmart for groceries)etc, etc.

I know we arent far from all of the action in this location, but it is sometimes nice to have somewhere 'local' when you are either out early or home late and dont fancy tackling the busy routes.

p.s has anyone stayed on Vista Park, I have booked the Villa privately but have noticed it is in the Thomas Cook Signature brochure for next year also, which is reasuring! Any personal recomendations would be nice though!

thanx in advance.

Not sure where on H27 Vista Park is but we stayed at Hampton Lakes and Westridge and from there up to 192 and down to Southern Dunes there wasn't any what I would call nice restaurants like Tony Roma's. Mainly cheap and cheerful places such as Denny's which we used for breakfast.

We always went further afield for eating out.

Nice area to stay though I would prefer to be a bit closer to Universal as that and IOA are where we spend most of our time.

We have stayed on the 27 twice now and we always did our shopping at Publix on the way home from the parks, its located on the 193 just before you get to the junction for the 27.
We also ate at Dennys on the 27 but can't remember any other restaurants but plenty of places on the 192 on your way home.

La Grande Baguette just opened in a new small plaza on the right hand side of 27 south just as you join from 192 ( opposite the gates to Esprit/Davenport Lakes.) It does breakfast, lunch and Sunday brunch but not dinners as yet. The owners emigrated from Europe in 2001 and do French and Italian cuisine. The Sunday brunch (open until 3pm) will be Italian one week, French the next and American the next alternating. They also sell Italian icecream, milk shakes and smoothies, European style cakes, pastries and deserts and crusty French and Italian style fresh baked bread

Down the 27 S Southern Dunes Golf course and community has a good restaurant which is open to anyone also Green leaf Chinese is very good and they deliver to most communities on the 27
