We go to Universal every year but have never stayed on-site. How crowded is it in late September? We always stays at a hotel that has free breakfast but were wondering if paying several hundreds more to stay on-site is worth it for the FOTLP. Thanks!

There are very good rates at that time and I think its worth staying on site, not just fotl but the hotels are very nice.

HHN will be opening on the weekend of the 23rd & 24th, so crowds might be a little more then and of course Harry Potter will be crowded, I think there is still a few million people left in the world who havent seen it yet.

I would love to tell you that there is some way to know capacity for Sept but Universal has been so off an the daily attendance predictions (mostly due to WWoHP) that I don't even think they are confident in their projections anymore.

I can say that it was busy there this Sept so i would assume it will still be busy. If you go later in the month you also have Halloween Horror Nights going on at USF so it tends to get a little crazy!

But if you are willing to get scared and enjoy a little craziness I would stay on property and go late in the month and enjoy the parks by day and HHN by night!!

My daughter had a $129/night rate at the RPR last year in September. It was just their normal stay more save more rate.

HHN is Halloween Horror Nights.

Ahh, thank you.

I am considering a 1-night stay for our September trip. Would love to find a rate ($129) that cheap! I checked about an hour ago and US is currently quoting $219/night.
