I've never stayed offsite, but my sister is trying to save money. I know there have been discussions about this, but can't seem to find them. If there is a section for offsite, please point me that way! What are the offsite options?

If you are looking to share a rental home, we have used villas2go4.com and never had a problem. We stayed in Highlands Reserve in Davenport several times.

We were very happy with Tropical Palms Resort off 192. The location was VERY convenient to the parks - just a few minutes door to door every single time.

PI have stayed at Westgate Blue Tree resort Lake Buena Vista. It is minutes away from WDW. If Diney is 66 than Blue tree would be 68 for example. There are two bedrooms and couch/sleeper.
I loved that there were huge selections of food to eat, CVS Wagreens, Walmart few minutes away.

Full kitchen with cleaners, dishwasher, dishes, pots and pans all utensils. the king has washer dryer in the unit. They clean mid week unless you pay. There wash a mop and we just wet mopped the tile no carpet for the little ones. They brought by any towels we needed.

Large nice pools, clean property, quiet. Two bathrooms, extrely lage living area, I think 950 sq feet or so compared to a value room.

I will do it again, perhaps this summer. We stayed 8 days and with prepay it came to about $700.00. There is a link in my wiggy with photos from the web site. There is a timeshare thing to do, I didn't to get several nights free.

There is a whole board dedicated to staying offsite. :)

http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=15 There is tons of great information there.

I'd start with Windsor Hills and this site ~ http://www.vacationcentralflorida.com/. They have very reasonably priced, nice accommodations and are very friendly and customer-friendly. :)

We rented A huge house for 700 a week with pool and hot tub attached, it was a great house found it on craigs list. However we will never stay off site again it just isnt the same, you really loose the magical experince.

Bonnet Creek! It's beautiful, the prices are very reasonable, and while it's officially off site, it's right next door to CBR.

We rented a townhouse in Windsor Hills. They have a fantastic pool with a slide as well as a very nice clubhouse. It is gated. We absolutely loved it. We also had our own private pool if we did not want to walk to the clubhouse pool area. We paid a little more as we celebrated Easter there. I think it might have been $110 a night for a three bedroom townhouse, full kitchen, living room, three baths, all baby essentials (crib, highchair, stroller included) plus our own pool with toys. The kids room also had a toy closet filled with an older game system and board games. The kids didn't want to leave when it was time to check into our timeshare a few days later.

We love Windsor Hills and have had great experiences with 5mins2disney.com and romancingthemouse.com

We love Bonnet Creek- we stayed there in May with a firework view and it was awesome!

We really liked Windsor Palms. It isn't as new as Windsor Hills, but still very nice. They also have a pool area.

Check out Parc Soleil

If you want a regular hotel instead of timeshares/condos/etc., we have stayed at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott at Little Lake Bryan. It is by Downtown Disney and the outlet mall. Lots of restaurants, etc right there.

There is a Fairfield inn, Springhill Suites and Courtyard by Marriott all together in the "Marriott Village". The Fairfield and Springhill include breakfast. They do have a shuttle but I don't know the times or cost.

I think Mousesavers had a deal on these recently. Maybe check out that site.

The Fairfield was a typical Fairfield - not really Disneyfied - except it had a huge breakfast area compared to other Fairfields I have been to.

If you are looking to save money and don't care about the hotel having "the magic" then this is a good option. Right now I have the Fairfield booked for August at $64 per night with the 4th night free.

We are staying offsite at the doubletree suites in Downtown Disney. There are some perks to staying at the downtown Disney hotels. We wanted more space but are not interested at this point in dealing with renting a condo.
