I just want to remind our short term renters that school is back in session. There will be bus traffic and kids walking on the streets, standing on corners waiting for buses etc.

Please remember to drive slowly through our neighborhoods and to STOP if a school bus is stopped with it's red lights on. Twice last week in front of WH I saw the bus stopped with it's red lights on and stop sign out and a car from the other lane kept going. Both times the kids were crossing the street in front of the bus. Our bus driver said that he is terrified of a child being hit but the district won't allow them to pull into WH to drop off.

Please also remember that while you may be enjoying your vacation, we are back in school and working. Please treat our neighborhoods as you would your own. If you enjoy an after park swim at night, please keep the noise to a minimum.

We welcome visitors to our area but please treat it and us as you would like to be treated.

Well said!

The situation with the school buses has become very bad. So much so, that law enforcement vehicles here in upstate NY randomly follow buses around to enforce the "stop" zone. Maybe Kissimmee should consider something like that as well.

Stay safe!

Lisa
