Hello...planning a trip for the week following Thanksgiving next year...pretty sure I'm going to stay WBC this time...I just can't justify the huge amount necessary to rent points for a 2br. Anyway, which ADR's will I be unable to get at the 30 day mark? We would probably choose at least some of the following: Crystal Palace, 50's Prime Time Cafe, Rose and Crown, Rainforest Cafe, Kona Cafe, Chef Mickeys, Be Our Guest ????? TIA.

The shortage of ADRs that seem to be the new norm, best suggestion is to keep looking if you don't find what you want on the first try

You can book ADR's at 180 days whether you are on-site or not. The only advantage to onsite is you get +10 days from your arrival day. There are not too many you will have issues with, especially if you are little flexible with times. CRT and BOG would be the two I think will be the most difficult. Others that can be harder are Ohana for dinner and CM for breakfast.

We just decided to take a trip and missed what would have been our ADR date by a month or more. The only one I knew I wanted for sure was Ohana, as ds and dh love it there. I was pleasantly surprised to find dinner reservations for a few of my dates. Looking around the only thing that was completely out was BOG for dinner. There were breakfast reservations though. There is still some Chef Mickey, all of the character meals etc. It's a slow week but I was pleasantly surprised. Now if I could just decide where I want to eat .

BOG is not possible at 30 days. I would cross that one off your list.

Like previous poster mentioned, you don't need to wait until 30 days to make ADRs, it's 180 days for everyone. Be Our Guest fills up immediately. Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace can also be difficult, depending on what time of day you're looking (for example, 8:05am breakfast at Crystal Palace on a day with 9am opening will go pretty quick). Others should have no problem, we've been able to get last-minute ADRs multiple times at 50'sPTC and Kona Cafe.

We have booked last minute trips quite a few times and always been able to get the reservations we wanted. It just took a little flexibility and patience. Good luck! What a great time to go!

I agree you are unlikely to get this at the 30 day mark, but I've been able to find them on 2 different trips by just repeatedly checking for openings. It's not a guarantee obviously, but it worked for me and I've seen many others say the same. Persistance often pays off.

As mentioned, you can still book at 180 days. We booked at the 180 mark and were not able to get BOG, but managed to get one last week at almost the 60 day mark. Your chances are best around the 180 day mark, but keep checking. BOG is the only one you've listed that's iffy.

you book 180 days in advacne just like everyone else but you need to call 180 days for each day of your vaca not like onsite when you can make them for your whole trip. you should be okay to getting 95% of what you want if you call in the mornings or go online and get them.

While its unlikely, its not impossible. You just have to look as often as possible, maybe even sign up on Dining Buddy or Dining Scout, and be willing to check even day prior to when you want to go.

We are staying off site at our timeshare and was able to get all the places that we wanted. At exactly 180 days out, I was able to get Chef Mickeys for dinner. BOG was full but about a month later Disney opened up a LOT during my month and I ended up getting 3 ADRs for it. So it is not completely impossible to get something if you are offsite. You just have to be persistent and keep an eye on the boards for people that are going to be cancelling. Good luck

Thanks, everyone. I guess I was confusing the ADR's with the fastpasses. I will definitely do it at the 180 day mark, and do it each day. Can anyone tell me the time of the day that it can be done....I remember when my baby (now 23) was a little girl. I was driving to work, holding on my cell phone, to get a breakfast in Cinderella's castle. Breakfast was just okay, but those memories will last forever :)
