Hi all-
Due to our budget I decided to investigate staying off property for our short Christmas trip, 12/23-12/26. I looked into Caribe Royale and it beats what I was expecting to pay for the AP rate for All Star Music. It appears that Caribe Royale seems to offer more bang for the buck. We normally stay on property at a moderate using the AP rate for Christmas but I just can't bring myself to pay those rates.
I booked a couple ADRs on Christmas Day -Whispering Canyon for breakfast and Kona for dinner. Since we are staying off property, are we going to get a hassle from security guards at these resorts? I plan on telling them we have a dining reservation and show them the confirmation # if needed. Should I also let them scan my AP Magic Band? In the past, even when we were staying on property and had ADRs, the guards sometimes lose their Disney magic come holiday time, which I understand is due to some folks who might want to use the resorts as parking for the MK.
Thanks for any responses.
