staying in room with DVC member, how many ways to split DDP payment ?

To answer the OPs question quite simply:

No. You can not pay with 4 credit cards. Member Services will ONLY accept up to two payment methods for the dining plan. You must also pay for the entire Dining Plan in "one sitting"...i.e., It must be 100% paid in one phone call...you can't pay 1/4 now, then 1/4 tomorrow, then 1/4 the next day, etc...

A payment method consists of any individual credit card or any number of Disney Gift Cards.

Basically, your options are limited in that you can only use one of the following combinations of payment methods:

1 credit card
2 credit cards
1 credit card and any number of Disney Gift Cards
Any number of Disney Gift Cards

If you need to pay 4 ways, your ONLY option will be for each person to buy Disney Gift Cards in the amount of their portion of the dining plan. All of those gift cards will have to be given to the DVC Member for them to then call Member Services to redeem all of the gift cards as payment for the Dining Plan.

Another possibility, that seems like it will probably violate the rules, is for everyone to chip in on a prepaid visa/mastercard gift card...Someone buys the card at a grocery store, and then everyone deposits their money on to it...then once everyone has deposited their money, you can use that one credit card number to pay for the dining plan.

There are more rules than just that but what I was mostly addressing was risk and avoiding the appearance of a problem. All it would take would be one unhappy person to complain and this has risk written all over it. Not than one can avoid all risk but this one is avoidable. I'd be concerned that the teachable moment would be to the adult. Plus my impression from the OP was this was individual money, not troup money.

And the complaint would be responded to just as I said. The troop funds are not your personal cash and yes in some cases girl a may receive more benefit then girl b

Let's say they don't use DDP and go to eat. Girl a is a picky eater and orders the kids chicken fingers. $10. Girl B orders steak $40. Troop pays for if. Girl A and her parents don't get to whine and get the $30 variance.

DDP would work the same way.

I'm not so good on the multi-quote tool,

as far as the credit being pooled, co-mingled, shared, etc.

That is the least of our worries.

All of the discussion about that are "problems" that other posters explored and are clogging up what I'm stating.

If this way a college trip, if this was an adults only trip, if this was a mom-club trip, if this was a book club trip, if this was a zoo-keepers trip, then yes, could see that being an issue but, it's none of the above.

It's a group of young teens and their leaders. The girls have decided on their plans for their trip. They have already ironed out all the details amongst themselves for 95% of the plans. The girls have a few methods of how they are going to make sure the dining credits stay straight.

I literally was very much only asking about forms of payment, not how to ensure dining credits don't get double dipped.

No one is trying to clog up anything. People are trying to HELP you.

You stated the reason for doing it this way (you brought it up). People are concerned that doing it this way is going to cause problems.

Anyone can get sick. Anyone can run off for a bottle of water and have the CM accidentally charge it as a snack instead of paying for it out of pocket. Anyone can twist an ankle and miss a meal. Anything can happen.

How about the GC idea? Do you understand what people were saying now?

Thank you for making it clear..hopefully this helps the OP realize why some gave suggestions of gifts cards. In the end, though, it really should be something discussed with the member and have them call MS.

That's what I thought I heard too. No more calling with a handful of cards but instead limiting to just a couple.
