Okay, we will be at OKW in a GV Dec.10-15. We added the DDP on for the first time. My ? is this: How will the credits be pooled?
Will they per room reservation, so we will start out having 60 ts, 60 s, 60 cs.
OR...is it per room key, having per person 5 ts, 5 s, 5 cs?

I am so worried it will be hard to track if all 3 families (of 4) are all pooled together.

Thanks for your help!!! :thumbsup2

I am sure someone will be along to confirm, but everything I've read suggests that it will all be pooled so you will all have access to all 60 ts, 60 s, 60 cs. but you can each spend them on your own cards.

All credits for a single unit will be on all cards. So if you have 12 people for 5 nights, you will have 60 of each on each card then it will count down as they are used.

Oh my, that will be so hard to track...... what a nightmare. It is my parents with their 2 that still live at home, then my sister and husband, with her 2 kids, and my 4. We are not planning on eating at all the same places or times.

As long as they can count and are trust worthy, you will likely be OK. You will get a running balance each time you use it. I don't think there's any way to segregate the vouchers but you may want to check into that to be sure.

Well, of course everyone is honest, but still mistakes could happen. Even a mistake by a cm, that we don't catch. We have the Candlelight Dinner the last night, I just would hate for us not to have enough credits left.
We chose to do the dining to be easy and no worries, less stress. I just don;t want to have to keep track of what everyone is eating/spending etc. Everyone is paying for their own so everyone wants all of their credits.

I will ask at the desk to see if they could maybe group us together by family. Hopefully they can!! :)

Actually, I think you will get your Candelight Processional tickets on checkin and they'll deduct the credits right there.

It is important to track the rest of the credits, and you're right, CM's do sometimes make mistakes. If you have issues, the front desk staff at your resort are the ones to contact. They can resolve problems with the DDP for you.

If it's any consolation, most of the people over on the DDP board report having credits left over. If that happens to you, stop somewhere and load up with snacks or sandwiches for your trip home. A nice sandwich from EofS sure beats airline food (or lack of airline food)...and it's FREE!

1) All your credits are available immediately at check-in.
2) They are all pooled - each card DOES NOT have limits.
3) ONE CARD could theoretically use all the credits in one day.

No, this year all of the Candlelight badges are being given out at the restaurants.

If everyone is one reservation, they are not going to divide them for you. The only way would have been to book seperate rooms for each group.

Therefore plan ahead, carefully explain to each family group what you are dealing with before you get there.

If necessary and the adults are forgetful, make-up a very small index card with their personal credits on it, and ask them to simply check them off as they use them per day. Ask they to keep all receipts and give them to you each evening before bedtime or each morning, whenever everyone will be together at the GV.

I think as long as everyone is aware that the everyone's credits are on each card and they can't eat up more than their share and can pay out of pocket if they need to, you will be fine.

Even if you use the index card suggestion and they forget to mark them off, as long as they give the receipts to you daily, you can keep tabs on it.

Most people will remember where they ate. Snacks are the only area I would see you might have any problems. If someone over eats their share, just have them annie up the dollar amount to the others.

I probably didn't say what I meant to say. I was talking about when the CP would be paid for. In the past, they have taken those credits away at checkin -- I assume to prevent the situation OP is concerned about where someone overspends credits and then doesn't have enough for CP. (Or...from the Mouse's point of view, to prevent no-shows on a big-ticket item.)

Did they change that procedure? Or did they just change the location where they pass out the CP seating badges?

You need to give a credit card (as a guarantee) when you reserve the CP Dinner package - even if you tell them you are on the Dining Plan. If you don't cancel at least 48 hours in advance you pay anyway.

Payment is made at the restaurant - doesn't matter if you are paying cash or using dining plan credits
