Staying In a Deluxe, Need Advice About Tipping

I tend to tip pretty generously. I usually give the bellman $3 per bag, and mousekeeping $8 per day.

Valet service, normally $5 or $6 at pick-up. Those guys BUST THEIR BUTTS running back and forth for cars!

I know a few people who work in the service industry. Their rent or mortgage payments often depend on the generosity of the people they serve.

Of course, when the service stinks, I tip accordingly

I have a question about valet --

I usually tip $3-$5, and I'm glad to see that I'm overtipping. I always feel so guilty.

Okay, so what about when the bell hop brings out your bags, and they put them in the car - who do I tip? valet, bellhop, or both?

Both. If any service is satifactorily performed, the person performing the service should be tipped.
