I'm down to less than a month now :Pinkbounc and need to start filling in the details. If we're staying concierge at the WL, what should I plan to purchase at my grocery stop? Will soft drinks and small snacks be readily available on the concierge floor? This is our first (and probably only!) time to stay concierge, and I'm not sure what to expect. We have a fridge for my husband's insulin in the room so I can store soft drinks, etc.

Any advice from you concierge veterans?

indyanna-

You are going to LOVE WL concierge! DH and I just stayed there for our honeymoon about 6 weeks ago. We are now completely spoiled!

The only time they did not have something out was from 10 p.m.-8 a.m. There was also a period in the morning - I believe 10-11:30 - where there was nothing out as well. So most of the day, there were munchies of some sort out. When you check in, they'll give you a little card that has times of when everything is set out. This is what we had:

Breakfast - bagels, asstd muffins, yummy cherry and apple strudel, boxed cereal, coffee, hot chocolate mix and tea. Also some fruit, milk, juice.

Refreshments put out around 11:30 - cookies (sugar and choc chip), asstd nuts, gummi worms, pretzels, lemonade & iced tea. Again coffee available, as well as nice cold water! I believe these were out for the entire afternoon.

Items offered around dinnertime were - sourdough bread, hot soup (tomato basil and clam chowder while we were there), hot entree (baked ziti w/chicken, rosemary-orange chicken wings, pork w/apples and onions while we were there), asstd cheese platter w/crackers, veggies w/blue cheese dip. As always coffee/tea. Also soda and wine.

Then from 8-10 desserts and cordials - Baileys, Grand Marnier, Kahlua, Amaretto, cookies, brownies (which were yummy!), and some sort of congo bar. Also each night they had a hot dessert, cobbler-style.

Sorry this is so long! Just wanted to let you know what you're in for! Enjoy:) :) :) :)

Looks like I won't need to buy all that much to bring with me! Thanks so much for the detailed information. It really helps a lot. Congrats on your recent marriage!

We love WL! If there is something you need or want, don't hesitate to ask. Although they didn't have bottles of water setting out, we ask a concierge CM, and he always brought us several bottles(plastic). Very pleasant, and always helpful at WL.

Don't know if they are able to do it, but I think it is worth mentioning prior to your arrival to the concierge that your DH is on insulin - maybe they could have sugar free snacks available for him. Might be a nice surprise if they are able to accomodate. I'd call and ask to speak with them directly to inquire. Have a wonderful trip! It is a beautiful resort.
