Staying at the Swan

For our trip over memorial day, we will be staying at the Swan. I was wondering if it would be better/easier to walk or take the Friendship Launch. We want to save time, so we want to know the faster option for traveling to Epcot and/or Hollywood Studios.

Going to Hollywood Studios the S/D is the last boat stop. Going to Epcot you would be the first stop coming back from HS.

If you are physically fit then walking should not be a problem.

Walking is faster than the boats to Epcot. The boats are sometimes faster to Hollywood studios. Like if there is a boat right there it's going to be faster but if you just missed it and started walking you might make it to Hollywood studios at about the same time or slightly before the boat.

To Epcot it will be faster to walk because the Friendship Boat from DHS stops first at Swan & Dolphin, then Beach & Yacht Club, then Boardwalk, and finally Epcot.

To DHS if the boat is at the dock or just arriving you may as well take the boat because it goes directly from Swan & Dolphin to DHS and would take about the same time as walking. If you just miss the boat and the next boat is not in sight it will probably be a little faster to walk. On the other hand, we do plenty of walking in the parks so we are willing to wait for the next boat to DHS.

In general:
Epcot - WALK! It's RIGHT THERE! Plus you walk right through the Boardwalk, so it's an interesting 10 minute walk.
Hollywood - Kind of a toss up, you'll have to decide. Saving steps might become important to keep your dogs from barking.

We always walk to Epcot and walk to HS unless it's the perfect storm and the boat is at the dock when we arrive. From HS, we always walk, it's just easier for us.
