Good morning all.

My last visit to WDW was in December of 2013 and I have been dying to go back since. It was my first real visit to WDW as an adult and going with my whole family, especially my young niece brought a whole new level of enjoyment to the experience.

I am lucky enough to be returning this year, as an annual professional conference I attend each year will be held at the Swan this April. My brother's family has decided to come down and use their time-share deal to stay at another off-disney resort during this same period.

I know that staying at the swan, I am eligible for some of the perks that come with staying in a Disney resort, and the group sponsoring my conference has stated that discount park tickets will be available.

My question is, if I buy the tickets for the rest of my family at the Swan, will we all be to take advantage of the Extra Magic hours?

Thanks in advance for your help.

EMH is a benefit of the resort you are staying at, not where your tickets are purchased.

The Swan/Dolphin, DTD Hilton and Shades of Green are about the only 'off-site' resorts that get EMH.

For you, yes, you would be eligible for EMH. For your family, no, as they are not guests of the Swan.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

I know they are staying at a Hilton in the area, hopefully it is the DTD one.

Thanks again!

If it's the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista on Hotel Plaza Blvd, they are entitled to EMH.

If it's a different Hilton (Bonnet Creek or I Drive), they will not be eligible for EMH.

Also Golden Oak,but most Guests think that is too much of an investment to get EMH!lol:)

OP, for a.m. extra magic hours you could enter the park, but not your remaining relatives if not staying at a place listed above. For p.m. extra magic hours, you can ride the rides but not your remaining relatives. At a ride entrance they would be asked to show proof of resort and would be turned away. But they are allowed to stay in the park for emh, just not allowed to ride.
