We are renting a golf cart while staying at the fort, is it ok to drive it to the other Resorts on Disney property and explore? Can you use the pools at the other resorts if the fort is to crowded? I read where someone said they went to the different Movies that were playing at the other resorts as well? Is that ok?

Golf cart must stay within the Fort and you are only allowed to use the Fort pools also. But many people do use other resorts pools

Yes , you can drive to the other resorts to explore (your car, not the golf cart) we do that every time we go.
Disney says ,"no pool hopping". However, YEARS ago Disney use to ENCOURAGE pool hopping, a habit that I have never gott'n out of and no one has ever stopped me yet.
I have never gone to other resorts movies, (I actually didn't know other resorts showed movies, :confused3)

Golf cart = no
Resort Hopping = Yes (we actually schedule a day to do this for each trip; free, fun, interesting)
Pool Hopping = meh (never done it but I don't think it should be restricted).

We make a day of using Disney transportation to go to as many resorts as possible utilizing as many forms of transportation we can (non-consecutive; like if we arrive by bus we have to leave by something else).

Resort hopping is a huge benefit of being a WDW resort guest. Plan it out right and you don't have to drive.

Do you have bikes? If so and you can bring them too...that's free transporatation around the Fort, plus you can ride them over to the Wilderness Lodge (our resort neighbor). You can rent them also- maybe that would save you a golf cart rental day.

From the Fort or the Wilderness Lodge you can take the resort boat over to the Contemporary and from their hop on the monorail and off the monorial to see all the monorial resorts. You are staying at a MK resort, so these resorts are the easiest to get to.

The others if you don't want to drive can be a bit more challenging due to the time it takes, but still do able.

Want to go over to the Epcot resorts, but don't want to drive? Hope on Fort Wilderness's Downtown Disney bus (pick up is at the front of the resort, internal buses will pick up up in front of your loop and drop you off there). From Downtown Disney you can go to any Epcot resort you choose and then you can walk or take a boat around those resorts. You will need to either return to Downtown Disney to come back on your bus or hop on the Epcot resort's bus to the Magic Kingdom theme park and take the Fort Wildreness boat back to the Fort Wilderness resort. Oh I guess you can get to the Epcot Resorts that way too. :)

Many ways to get around Disney without a car and or a theme park ticket!

Two weeks til our Fort Stay. Bringing bikes and our scooter.

Resort hopping is a great way to spend time. You can also see movies at other resorts, keep your KTTW card with you.

here we go again...popcorn::

pool rules here as posted on the disneyworld website: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/recreation/pools/ I believe this pretty much covers any questions on pool hopping: "Please note that pools are for use only for Guests of that specific Resort hotel"

Dude (Instacamper),

If I hear of you pool hopping I will find you and kill you myself. :lmao:
