This is great. I am really starting to excited for 2009.

Thanks andrewilley for doing the POR site. I think I go on there daily just to look at all the pictures and dream of our trip.

Hi everyone. I was just wondering about Christmas decorations. Are there any at this resort?

From a 3nite post cruise stay at POR. We stayed in the Magnolia Terrace Section room 8759. The East Depot is right on the back side of the building - not a far walk at all. Quiet pool and laundry right downstairs, and a very short walk to the main pool.

The place is wonderful, take a day away from the park and enjoy the resort. My Son (5) was so excited to see they had bikes there, that we were out for an hour just riding around the resort.

We did not have any problems with the Buses while we were there.

Thanks for sharing Googelibear. Can't wait until November!!!

my gosh, November is so the perfect time for WDW and that resort.
Wow, with all the "thumbs up" POR gets here and other places, they might just turn it into a deluxe resort and we'll be priced right out of it :scared1:

One of the things that I love about POR is that the resort can be totally booked and based on your room location you may never see any other guests!

that is so true. It is just quiet and peaceful. You cannot hear your neighbors you don't see your neighbors. It's all good ;)

All the resorts are decked out at Christmas. We love to go visit other resorts and see how they are all decorated.

Thank you for answering my question. :thumbsup2 We have stayed at the WL at Christmas time and I was just wondering what the POR would be like. Does anyone have any Chrismas pictures to share? I would sure love to see them. We will be there Nov. 29th - Dec, 5th.

I have finally uploaded video from nov to youtube, i'm alittle bit of a procrastinator :confused3
any this is video walking from the lobby to our room (manison side)

That was cool! Didn't sound like you had your walking shoes on, no wonder you didn't want to walk to the pool and then to your room! LOL
Now which Mansion was it that you were staying in? I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't get a part time job outside the home to save for this resort, it's soooo pretty! Thank you for sharing this with us.

savannahjean85 - thanks for sharing the video, I feel like I have been there now. I will be staying at POR in July for the first time. Now I have an idea how the walking will be. Thanks again.

Glad you guys enjoyed.
I didn't not having on walking shoes, a pair of uncomfy flip flops. DF says I sounded like a horse. :)
It was beautiful on the manison side.

If that was sounding like a horse, then you were at least a beautiful sounding horse. ;) Tell DF you did not sound like a horse and that Millie said so!
SJean, do you remember the name of the mansions you stayed in? It was sooo pretty.

Oh, and is it really quiet there? I keep hearing everyone say that no matter how crowded it's very quiet there, you don't usually hear anyone and they don't hear you. Did you find this to be true? BTW, you all are to cute for words! (DF and you that is) I looked at your myspace page, love the pics and all your beautiful words, you seem to have a good grasp on enjoying and being greatful for life, not like a lot of kids these days. Sorry I called you a kid, but anyone 25 and younger is a kid to me.;)

Thank you for posting that!

I have a question though - can you park at your buildings? Did you have to carry your luggage all that way?

Yes, you can park quite close to the buildings, you don't have to do that walk every time.

And, yes it really is that quiet at POR. Apart from the shoes of course. :)

Loved the strollabout video, thanks for sharing.

Well if I don't get new sneakers by my Dec trip you will hear my one squeaky shoe when I walk around POR. It drove me nuts on my April trip.

Glad you guys enjoyed.

POR was just too beautiful for words. It was very quiet. Our bulding was Magnolia Terrace. Also thank you very much for the compliments, including being called a kid. I still think of myself as a kid in an older body (like most diser :) )

BDiddy
We just walked from the lobby to video tape how pretty it was. We actually parked really close to our bulding, lucked out also because we were right next to the bus stop too.

Wow, what a great thread. I have to admit that before looking at all these beautiful pictures, POR would have been my last choice for a moderate, but I think I might actually like to try it out one day. The landscaping and theming is beautiful as are the buildings. But the one thing I just can't get past is the beds...I dunno, but they creep me out for some weird reason?!
