Staying at POP, Eating at GF...how do I get back after park closing?

We have a rather late booking at Narc's on a night when the parks will not be open past 9pm. How do we get back to Pop Century? Do I have to get a cab? Thanks for your help!

Either cab, or catch a bus to DTD then catch the bus to POP. Another option depending on how late you finish would be to catch a bus to the park that is having extra magic hours that night and then catch a bus from there back to POP.

When dining at another resort, I suggest taking a cab back...after eating and then being full and tired, its just nice to have a quick ride back to the hotel. You could take a bus to DTD, then back to your resort as well but cab would be my choice.

You can take a bus to DTD and transfer to a Pop Century bus. Be prepared for it to take a long time, though, DTD buses don't run as frequently as the theme park buses do. Figure about an hour to get back to Pop this way.

I'd take a cab. No question.

I think a cab is the way to go. It's worth it to avoid the long bus rides. We usually take a cab if we have a late dinner and it's such a relief to have a ride waiting. You may be tired and the door-to-door cab option can't be beat. Some drivers will drop you off at the parking area closest to your room, others at the check-in area.
BTW, when taking a cab, make sure you specify your group size and if you need a van (same rate), let them know. Recently, we called a cab letting them know we have a party of five and found a regular car waiting with a rude driver who kept insisting that we didn't need seat belts and the kids could just sit on laps. --- we waited for a van.

The inexpensive way is to transfer at a theme park or DTD. But be prepared for this to take you an hour or more (really)

If you don't hit the bus to DTD just right, you may have a 20 minute wait (or more) same at the transfer location. Plus travel time.

The quickest and easiest way is to grab a taxi. Plan on about 10-15 for the trip and it is nice to end an evening of fine dining with an uneventful trip back to your resort.

How much later is your reservation? If you get out of dinner by 10 or even a little later, you have a really good chance of being able to go back to the MK and getting the bus. Buses run usually a good hour or more after the park closes.

If you can't get to a park to grab a bus, I recommend a cab. We went to DTD to catch a bus and there were so many people in line, that another group formed a second line. Both tried to get on the bus at the same time, it got ugly. I ended up having to wait for the third bus to come around before getting on one (and sprained my ankle, but that was due to one very rude woman who did not want to wait in line.) Too many people try to leave DTD as the shops are closing.
