I'm staying at the HRH using the entertainment rate next week and I'm getting nervous!!! I don't expect any Lowes perks, but will I be put in a broom closet???? Has anyone stayed using this rate lately?? I feel fortunate to get this rate but I hope I don't end up regretting it. Thanks.

Hi, just got back from the HRH with an entertainment rate. We had a nice room on the 5th floor facing the pool. The only problem was that it was over a roof area so it was a little hard to see the pool. I had reserved a standard garden view room. I thought it was fine.

We did add another night to our stay. I asked at check in if there was availability for the extra night and the girl said no, they were sold out. Well the next day while sitting at the pool, I decided to call reservations from my cell phone and they were able to get me the extra night and for the same entertainment rate!! I felt like going back to the girl at the check in desk and saying "nah, nah, nah... I got a room anyway!!" The reason I say that is because I didn't think she was very nice, and kind of blunt with her "no we're sold out".

Visited early August with fan club rate- 2 rooms- Ent rate 1 room.
It was great! Had garden view-beautiful- and were very satisfied!
If you find you do not like the room call and ask to be changed!
Our experience with Loews has been very positive. If you do not like something ask to speak to the Front desk Mgr. They will help if they can.

Last year we had a slight problem when we check in with the room we were assigned and asked for the manager. He definately was much more helpful than the person at the front desk. I didn't think the girls working the check in desk knew what was going on. If you ever encounter a problem as for the manager.:wave2:

Well, I see the pattern here.

5th floor is for dogs, we stayed there earlier this year in room 5026 with our lab.

Entertainment rate is slowly being "phased out" if you know what I mean. The discount isn't that much, you get no perks, and they're going to put you on the 5th floor. The AP rate is much better if you are an annual passholder. I guess the Lowes membership card would be next so you can get the perks.

When you check in, ask for a room on a different floor, like 3 or 4.

You should be able to get it because kids are back in school and the parks have light crowds. But for those who went a few weeks ago, the hotel was sold out.

I did see guests there with dogs, but I don't know if I recall them being on the same floor. Anyway, I didn't find anything objectionable with my room, except maybe with our view, that could have been a little better. But like someone else said, if you don't like your room, go to the front desk and ask for it to be changed.

Thanls for the reassurance. I'll just hope for the best and enjoy the front of the line accesss!!!! I can always get a dog once I get to Orlando and just join in!!! I love dogs anyway, I just would rather not bring one on vacation.

We stayed in March, not on ent. rate but on Hotel Kingdom rate, which is also deeply discounted. We did not get our welcome gift upon check-in, and they told us that we did not qualify due to booking with a thrid party, but then sent it up anyway. Otherwise we had a terrific visit.

That's what I'm talking about.
It seems everyone on these boards wants a welcome gift. You don't get it with the Entertainment rate or 3rd party bookings.

On my visit early this year (E-rate), I knew we wouldn't get any gift. I was just happy to get our room since my res was accidentally cancelled. The room turned out clean and everything was great. The other pattern I see is people who book with E-rate end up on the 5th floor.

Not getting the cookies/milk, or a free CD seems to bring most to tears. Therefore, stop using E-rate, sign up as a Lowes member, and book that way.

I mean, you can stop at Publix and for $20, buy a styrophome cooler, milk, and bags of macadema cookies.

I have a feeling we'll see more people using the AP and Lowes way to book rooms, just for the little perks.

Just to clarify -- we did ask about the gift at check in, not knowing the policy. When we were told about the policy, we dropped it and never gave it a second thought. I could not care less about these little things -- and I'm sorry my poorly worded post suggested otherwise.

Last year we booked with entertainment rate and received the welcome gift. Believe me the beer and nuts were nothing to write home about.::MinnieMo
