Has anyone stayed at FW and gone to Universal or Sea World. How was it? We've never been to Univ. or SW and want to go while we're at FW. Thanks

We've been to both parks and they are great. Universal Studios and Universal Islands of Adventures are both great parks, especially for adults and bigger kids. You want to allow one full day at each park. They have tickets that will allow you to go back and forth between parks. They have alot of kid friendly food options if I remember correctly (things like milk and PB&J are offered at all of the food locations). The bathrooms were clean and the people friendly. Most of the bigger rides also had one of the seats at the entrance to the line so you could see exactly how you are strapped in. Easy to tell if bigger people can fit, or how secure younger kids will be. The downside to Univeral is that instead of the fast pass they offer an upgraded ticket which allows you to go to the fast lane on select rides. I think that is grossly unfair and wish they would do away with that option.

SeaWorld is wonderful. My oldest DD wants to work with marine animals when she grows up and she could've spent a whole week there. There are a a few rides, including one BIG coaster. Don't miss the Imagine killer whale show. There are also lots of other animal experiences and shows available. My DD did the marine keeper for a day 8 hr behind the scenes experience and it was the highlight of her last vacation. It will take 2 days if you want to see all of the attractions and shows.

We are staying at the fort and doing USO and IoA on our next trip. I cant imagine anyreal drawbacks except for transportation from the fort to Universal's area...we prefer not to drive when at Disney...but obviously that wont be an option, no biggie!!! I like that universal has the 2park/7days option for such a low price...that way if we dont wanna spend a whole day there, I wont feel like Im wasting money by leaving early to hang out at the fort. In fact, I only expect to spend about 4 days at the parks and the rest just fishing, relaxing with some beers, looping in my cart, and napping in a hammock at the beach!!!

It's been awhile but have been to both also as said before universal seems better for adults and bigger kids not as small kid friendly if you like coasters then you will love it
sea world is fun if you like marine animals you can get some up close time with dolphins etc there is a few rides but if rides are your thing then universal would be your better pick but both are fun
there is also a place at sea world where you can swim with the dolphins and there is a place where you snorkel and see tropical fish never tried it but it sounds really cool if you get a chance see if in a local book store they have a book on the orlando area usually they have maps and tons of info in barns and nobels they had several books on this this may help you decide if you want to do one park or all just a thought

well this Dec. we are doing both parks at Universal...went to seaworld years ago and haven't had a desire to go back....for small kids At Universal you will be limited a bit but can still have fun...They have Suess Land for Tiny Kids and they will adore it....if you have a coaster fan...they will be in heaven....have a blast!:hippie:

I have never felt like I needed more than 1/2 day at each park at IOA/Universal. Last October we spent a day going to both parks. We got there at opening, went around IOA and rode everything we wanted, then went around the loop again just taking pictures, then we went over to Universal, rode everything we wanted and then spent an hour or so just taking pictures. We also took a break with a nice meal at Nascar Cafe.

While the current deal is great for a 1 time visit, I wish I could get more of the tickets we got a few years ago. We got 4-day nonexpiring two-park tickets for $104 each. Since I only spend 1 day there every couple of years, those tickets have lasted forever!!
