Staying at Dolphin -- Fastest Way to get to The Land at Epcot?

We are checking in to the Dolphin Saturday, and have a 1:15 "Behind the Seeds" tour at Epcot at The Land pavilion. What would be the fastest way to get there? My mom will be with us and can't walk superfast. I'm hoping we can grab a fastpass for Soarin' on the way there.

From the Dolphin walking is about the only way to get to the Land. I wouldn't even bother with the boat to Epcot's International Gateway from the Dolphin since it will have to stop at both Boardwalk and Yacht Club before getting there. Walking (even slowly) will be faster.

Actually even walking backwards might be faster. Those boats are slow, but relaxing.

You can take a cab to the front enternace of Epcot. It will be quick assuming you don't have to wait for a cab too long (which you shouldn't) and it will really cut down on the amount of walking for your Mom.

I agree with the above post, that it will be less walking to take a taxi from the Dolphin to the Epcot cab stop.

BUT it will still be quite a bit of walking, and of course your tour is all standing.

It sounds like your mom might benefit from a rental ECV? They are available for rent at the parks for just that park, or you can rent one for your entire stay and have it delivered to your resort.

WDW is a tremendous amount of walking and standing, no matter what you do.

Thanks for all the ideas! I think we'll see how we are doing on time once we actually get to the hotel -- so far I am the only one awake in the house.

I think an ECV would be a good idea -- not sure she is amenable to that but we'll see. She hasn't been to WDW in a few years.
