My wife and I (just the two of us) are staying in a one-bedroom villa at the Boardwalk this summer, and have a few questions. We are paying cash for the trip (through CRO, not renting DVC Points) First, we have requested a non-smoking room near the elevators. Is there a "secret" or trick to getting a Boardwalk view? Any other hints or tips for having a wonderful stay at the Villas would be appreciated! Thank you!

I think one way to get a good view is to request a higher floor. That way you can see Illuminations over the top of the other buildings.
Another tip is always walk to EPCOT and MGM. If you are too tired and need to use the boats back from MGM, get off at the Dolphin and just walk over to Boardwalk as the boats take a long time waiting at that stop and at Yacht/Beach Club.

You will get a NS villa. As to the elevator and especially BW view you may need a liitle luck.

We stayed in a studio last week and had requested an Epcot view. We were in room 4055 and it was pretty near perfect. We had a view of the golfball and it was lovely when lit up at night. We also could see the Illuminations fireworks from our balcony in the evening.

As far as hints go, mine is breakfast from the Boardwalk Bakery. I highly recommend the raspberry filled donuts.

We now have refillable mugs at the Boardwalk. You can get them refilled at the Bakery, Luna Pool and the little coffee stand that's open in the evening (can't remember the name of it!).
